Looking for safe refuge, Darkling abandons his home in favor of spending the night in the treehouse in his backyard. Sure enough, the mafia soon arrives on the scene. They split up, some watch the back door entrance while others search the house. Darkling belives he is safe, but cannot escape due to the mafia keeping watch below. After a few minutes and unknown to Darkling, a mafia inside the house spots him from an upstairs window. To his dismay, axes are brought to work on chopping down the treehouse. Darkling tries throwing things at the mafia, but most of them miss or just aren't effective. The entire tree, with Darkling inside its treehouse, falls down and into the house. Darkling was most likely unconscious, but the mafia sifted through the rubble anyway and slit the throat of Darkling before scattering into the night.

Inside his house, ihjel quietly reads and listens to music at his desk under a faint lamp. He hears movement outside, but checks and concludes it must've been the wind. He decides to call a friend, only to discover there is no signal on his phone. Suddenly all the lights go out and ihjel knows the mafia is eliminating his communication. Running up to his roof, ihjel turns on his emergency generator for an Aldis lamp. He begins to flash a pattern against the night sky: dot dot dot ... dash dash dash... dot dot dot ... morse code for SOS. As he furiously waits for someone to notice his plea, ladders begin to appear around the edge of the roof. ihjel manages to kick one ladder over, including the mafia climbing it. To his dismay, he turns around to discover that while he did that, other mafia have already scaled his home. A mafia grabs ihjel by the scruff of the neck and slams him through the glass and lightbulb of his signal lamp. The other mafia then hurl him off the rooftop into the street, where the corpse of ihjel was found this morning.

Climbing up the stairs to get to his apartment, Loveless opened the door to the hallway only to find a man blocking his path. Caught off guard, the mafia shoved Loveless down the stairs. Hitting his head on the banister, Loveless was knocked unconscious and collapsed on the landing. Mafia from downstairs came up, bringing knives with them. Delving into Loveless, they began to carve away at his chest. "DELICIOUS LOVELESS, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!" exclaimed the mafia as they brutally cannibalized him. That morning, the corpse of Loveless was found... without a heart. ;(

Here are my initial reactions. Note the bolded. My sentence will correspond.

This is a repeat of wording from the day 1 post -- not sure what it means. In Halo, you'll often have players beating the crap out of other players (via bashing with weapon) that are already dead and lying down on the ground (same thing for GTA, but that's the beside the point) -- could relate to CrimsonMagnum (avatar), and yes, I know it's pretty weak, it's just my first reaction. Reading and listening to music right before dying was what Moose was doing, also. Another potential Heegu clue, wind --> windwaker --> zelda/link --> Heegu. Lord of the Rings, although I don't know if anyone has anything that could relate to this for a real clue.

Also, I think the detective was a retard to not reveal roles. it doesn't appear we have a boondock in the game. The fact there was only 3 hits might mean hits overlapped from multiple mafia teams -- although, I suspect the mafia would probably only have 4-5 hits total whether there is 1 mafia team or more anyways, so it could be attributed to doctor saves/meatshield/regen.

Actually, that clue most likely points to Heegu. After all, Link's health bar is made up of hearts. I don't get the Halo or GTA thing. The wind is probably something else though, maybe pointing to a quick or shadowy person.

If the Detective revealed he was the Detective, he would have been hit long ago. We've hit about 1-2 mafians also, rough estimate but thanks to the clues I conclude that we have killed at least one.

ACTUALLY, he could be dead too.

By long ago you mean... today? The first hits got soaked up by nerdy no matter what. And that's not what I meant, I meant reveal the roles of the already dead players.

Even revealing the roles of the dead characters can put him in jeopardy unless he sent them through you. And even then he's probably dead.

Enough damn evidence has accrued, clue-related and statistical, to call for Heegu's lynching for many days now. I vote Heegu.

You clearly haven't been paying attention all too well. When the detective uses the 'reveal dead players roles' power, moose posts it in the topic.

Obviously NudeRaider wasn't the detective. He was rather meatshield like he claimed he was, or mafia. I realize your possibilities, but it's also possible the detective was just not very smart and used another ability, like the seeing how many mafia voted for a person ability.

Either way, I vote Heegu. He's obvious Mafia.
