In Scmdraft 2.0 Beta 0.8.0, I placed a location and there was a warning that said "Note, adding another location will prevent you from saving the map in SC Vanilla format." What does that mean?

None.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

the first starcraft supported only ~64 locations (I dont know it exactly)
that means, that you cannot play the map with starcraft v.1.0 (starcraft without a patch)....

but everyone creates maps for current patch, I think.

Vanilla is the non-expansion to Starcraft. So the file extension for vanilla maps are .scm (not requiring Brood War to play).

None.

but the error message refers to the Starcraft v.1.04.
look into the changelog:

- You can now select locations obscured by other locations.

- Location operations are now undoable.

- You can now explicitly sort Conditions.

- You can remove all Map Revealers from a map (really!).

- The Unit and Hero Settings dialog has been enhanced.

A new StarEdit help file with info on these triggers and all the new
features in StarEdit can be downloaded from our web site (http://www.blizzard.com).
I'm not sure which version is on my starcraft disc and I'm to lazy to search it...
maybe I got 1.00. I only can remember that the staredit.exe used to crash very fast without patches.

There are 3 types of maps. *.scx, *.scm and *.scm :omfg:
*.scx is broodwar.
First *.scm is starcraft v.1.04 and above.
Second *.scm is starcraft v.1.03 and less.

All in all, you can ignore the message in scmdraft 2.
