Life Of A Civillian RPG
Theres something about this city. I don't know what it is exactly.. but I wake up over and over thinking this isn't where I'm supposed to be. I feel like I've lived a hundred lives, worked a thousand jobs, and died far too many times to count. I am Civillian and this is my story.
City: This game centers around the player working his way up the ladder to success. Whether it is through crime or hard work. There are subplots that are selected by players that have beaten the game already such as "zombies and aliens/rapture".

It will be more of a RP or a RPG?
Life Of A Civilian was more of a RP in sc1, if I remember properly.
None.
it should be a sandbox game, but there should also be plenty of events and triggers and items and units and all that that make it feel like there's actually a goal to work for and a way to lose the game.
I want it to be hard, even though it's an rp game. or...uhh..an rpg? I know there's a difference between a pure role playing game with mostly basic restrictions and a more linear role playing game that confines you to a story and specific mission objectives, etc. I think this game should shoot for somewhere inbetween the two.
as for the camera effect, I"m not sure yet. I'd rather wait to play the game first before deciding that.
I wanna see bank robberies, store robberies, house robberies, and plenty of cops that can arrest you, not just kill you. If you die then game over, you have to watch or leave. If you get arrested then you spend time in jail. like a minute for robbing a store or whatever. If you murder a civilian then the police will shoot first. if you have a warrant for your arrest then the way you get arrested would be like if a cop unit (say a marine or whatever) touches your civilian and stays touching it for like 3 seconds, then your unit would stop moving and become invincible (and you couldn't move it) and maybe a message would come up saying "you have been arrested" yada yada, then you get "teleported" to a jail cell and a countdown timer appears for however long your sentence is.
I would also like to see the ability to be on the law's side. become a cop. but you can only pick it before the game starts. Make two teams. one side is cops, the other side is civilians. civilians can choose to be law abiding, or not. make it like 3 cops vs 9 civilians or something.
I want it to be like grand theft auto kind of, but not so much centered on crime as the main focus.

Life of a Civ RPG. One of the games I've almost forgotten about
Definitely a map that will benefit a ton from SC2.
Beware, don't overdo it. Remember that SC2's editor is shit, and that a lot of things will cause it to breakdown.
Fixed camera destroyed what little there is of creative maps with lag.
Ridiculous UI interfaces make players confused and etc.
Try to keep it as simple as possible (but without taking away the depth you wanted in this RPG). Don't put in anything fancy and unecessary! Life as a Civ was a hit in SC1 despite its limitations, which says a lot.
