I can't get the Ion Cannon to work for some reason... I gave it the buttons, I added 0x00 format playframs... I have no clue how to do this. I seriously need help.

Make sure it has all the attributes of a structure like the Photon Cannon or Sunken Colony in DatEdit's AI tab.

I'm rather sure I did. Also, I gave the Mature Chrysalis all of the Barracks' attributes, but when I gave it a button set, it didn't have a damn thing.

Right, the issue is your FireGraft DAT requirements.

Under 'DAT Requirements', in FireGraft, select the Marine. This is what it will look like.


You want to change it (right-click under 'Barracks' and select 'Add Item') until it looks like this.


Rinse and repeat for all units trained by the Barracks.

I know that part. I added a new part in the button sets, copy-pasted from the barracks, replaced the marine with Devouring One (who I replaced as a non-hero version of Kerrigan) and added that stuff that you screenshot. I will try it again.

If the Mature Chrysalis trains DIFFERENT units than the Marine and Firebat and whatnot, then you need to make the Devouring One trained by the Mature Chrysalis. Basically, just check the 'used' box under Devouring One and add in the same stuff as the Marine has, except don't bother with the add-ons and instead of 'Current unit is... Barracks', write 'Current unit is... Mature Chrysalis'. Voila.

I did that three times. I was successful at one point but the progress bar stalled with no progress at all, even with operation cwal.
And I still need Ion Cannon spin help.

I tried it with the infested command center, It works perfectly.
Is it possible to give research capability to second structures?
Is it also possible to make a new zerg structure mutate into another structure? Like for example make a cerebrate mutate into an overmind?

I'm fairly decent at iscripting, yeah. Is this about your Ion Cannon issue? If so, PM me your existing script.

As for the mutation, try mimicking the attributes of the Creep Colony's mutation. I think that should be in FireGraft, but check some of the options available to you in DatEdit (like, look under Advanced and/or AI).

Zerg structures, except the ICC, can't train unless you use an EXE Edit, which, iirc, is listed under Train Unit.

Ok, the current issues I'm having.
1) Ion Cannon isn't doing a damn thing even with Pr0nogo's help with the iscript.
2) Cerebrate can't mutate into an Overmind. Should I give up on making it mutate into an overmind? Perhaps drone>overmind? or can i do it?
3) Considering there are no available spaces in the Protoss Advanced Structures slot and I still need all of them, What are my options for enabling construction of the Warp Gate and the Dark Shrine(Xel'Naga Temple)?
4) I still need new sprites to replace the queen, and a way to make spawn broodlings spawn larva without killing the hive.
5) Spellcasting for the Warp Gate and the Psi Disrupter. For the Warp Gate, either Recall or a reverse means of Recall. for the Psi Disrupter, either altered Ensnare or Maelstrom.

When all of this is done, the mod will be finished minus voice work. lol. I will be well pleased.
