Blood Marathon - New Edition

Players: 1-12 (Recommended: 12)

The goal of this map is to be the first to finish a specific number of laps being chosen at the beginning of the round. In each of the 4 lane you get a random unit out of a pool of 30.
With each unit being special in it's way, you should be able to disturb the others and thus succeed in winning the game. As said, the more players participate, the funnier it will be.
Also, even Rick Astley is in this map, being able to Rick-Roll other players.

3-teams are able as well. Alliance is set ingame. However: Ally Chat is WTF when having multiple teams, but FFA does not allow Groups to join the game, so use the 3-teams selection (3x4 slots)

As much as I love Blood Pressure Marathon, I'm skeptical.

First of all, there's already a map like this called SC2 Sprint, and it failed miserably. Its failure is due to it being just as you described, a race with 4 segments, in which you get a random unit each time.. and nothing more.
The reason why BPM was so popular is because of the hilarious units and some of their abilities to really be a douche against other players. There're tons of references like Enola Gay, Helen Killer... and downright hilarious units like the sunken named GG.
SC2Sprint just had normal units almost without any stat changes or name changes. So it is uninteresting. But there's one thing that SC2Sprint is better, and it is it having a race-track that is shaped like an X
like First segment = V, second segement = <, third segement = ^, and fourth segment = >
this way, the course is always right next to each other, increasing the chance of ganking others. It'd be nice to see that incorporated.

I see Rick Astley's in the map, so my hopes are high :awesome:

So now.. Would u like us to help with making more hilarious units? Since 30 is hardly enough

Always here for improvements, though don't worry: each unit is special as said and no hero reamined untouched, except for the warp-prism spinning on his own axis. He once was able to load in enemies, but that was way too confusing^^.

One of my favourites is the slowruptor which is able to exchange one's movementspeed with itselfs. Or the Raven whose Seeker Missile calls down a nuclear strike directly after the impact, it's fun to spam them via shift.

And this different Track... not bad, might add a "Choose Map" menu in the beginning.

Then even that's fucked.

Also, the characters aren't nearly as over the top as I want them to be.

The Spine Crawler should not die overtime. They should die like the way they did on BW, 1 hit kill by others... it basically make you stop until someone else comes.

The Turret beacon should be moved to the side a bit, so that it's possible to not have to touch it.

Don't understand Mule or Battlecruiser.. They both just die?

SCV's supply depots need to be at least 2x2 large... the time req to build a wall is much higher than the time in which people will kill the walls. SCV's also ought to be able to build turrets

No cannon walls??

What does creep do?

Creep speeds Zergs and slows others.
Mule got a random life time.
Battlecruisers got negative HP-Regen-Rate, also was unsure whether this was a good idea.
Spine Crawler was like that once, yet many many many many people said that it sucked that way.
Depots... well maybe.

Creep - how much does it slow down others?
where's the slow ass overlord, anyway? It is needed for the luls

Mule with random-life = meh.. there's no reason for that unit to exist... unless mule gets smth to make it more awesome...

BC with negative HP need to be balanced in a way that makes it better.. Give it a slower negative-HP Rate, but make its yamato gun pwn everyone... but obviously it costs time to shoot the yamato gun... Give it tons of armor as well

People said it sucks only because they're whiners :P .. and obviously it sucks to be the sunken

Depots .. no, definately.

No Cannons? Why not...

SCV can't build other stuffs? Why not...

Death goes around in a fixed circle... one can time it.. I think making it move randomly is better. It may also be better to make it slower than the average unit.

Lols at stimpack :awesome: You ought to make it random.. so that sometimes, it speeds you up, sometimes it slows you down. That'd increase the luls.

What does Probe do?? I was playing by myself... why can't it build shit?

Needs more explosions... get some units that suicides and explode like crazy

A ghost with a ~2 second nuke will be fun

Ravens with its abilities costing almost 0 E will be awesome.

Need more units that reference other characters.. like Helen Killer .. Adolf Hitler .. and maybe even some SC1 units. Just rename them to like Kelen Hiller and Adolh Fitler.

Need more Luls. :C

Probe can exachange position with target, range of 10 or something.
Raven in a way do nuke.

Everything is explained... but not in param/value... meh, that Bnet is :(

Creep is like 50% speed up/down.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

load the localizer program that u can find on sc2mapster. I guess it works...
