If you upgraded from XP recently, it might be slower because Vista takes up much more RAM than XP.

Vista is a POS, dont upgrade for another...1 to 2 years. Once it becomes stable, then upgrade.

Yeah, I've had 17+ days uptime multiple times. It was mainly only interrupted to install driver updates, Windows updates, etc.

Vista Home Premium 32-bit. No complaints here. Shaders are amazing in DX10. Well worth the premium price over a 360/PS3 for the incredible true next gen graphics. Oblivion looks better than on consoles. CoD4 looks the same basically but runs very beautifully on a wide range of PC hardware. Crysis is awe inspiring. The only reason to get a 360 over a PC is Mass Effect, and I hope to god they port that to the PC in a year or so.

Vista is great if your box can take it. You can't handle the power! [insert evil overlord smiley] IMO, people should wait until they're getting a new PC to get Vista, upgrading can be more of a pain.
