Jack sent me a PM basically saying that he had to stop to come over SEN for RL (job) reasons.
Here is the list of unfinished wikis he leaves to us:

http://www.staredit.net/starcraft2/UI_Triggers
http://www.staredit.net/starcraft2/MPQ_(Format)
http://www.staredit.net/starcraft2/MPQ_Exporting
http://www.staredit.net/starcraft2/StarCraft_II_Models
http://www.staredit.net/starcraft2/GS_Syntax

... AKA: To complete. :P

Sorry to hear this Jack.. hope you can sort things out and be back with us asap!

I've sent this list of "missing wikis" to OneTwo via YouTube recently:

- Actors (mixing two units' models together, polishing spells, events)
- Inventory/Items
- How to create Trigger Libraries and how to use one that you've downloaded
- Banks (basic creation, protection, how to do a cross-realm approximate high score)
- Movers
- Pathing of custom models (like, if you've created a custom doodad and want certain parts to be unwalkable)
- Validators
- "Console" window
- Object Groups
- Collision detection
- Upgrades
- Footprints
- Jump ability
- Push ability (Apply Force)

He was basically asking me to give him a list of subjects to do tutorials on, so I guess that's pretty much all we're missing in regards of the core informations.
I know Cardinal is in communication with ProzaicMuze as well, so we might get epic text + epic video combo boost to our wiki. :O
... but that's all hypothetical. ^^
However, I do believe this list of missing articles is useful.

That's great! OneTwo does some fantastic work, so it would be nice to see if he can help out.

Eventually I probably should extend the ol' olive branch to Sixen to get SC2M involved, but I have a feeling he wont be interested. Maybe one day...

I'm 100% sure he'll refuse if the wiki is hosted on our website. :P

The problem isn't my job not letting me browse sen, it's me not having a job and needing to use my time more wisely, which means I've stopped gaming and SEN-ning and clanning on computers so that I can look for a job better :P

Anyway, I should be back after a month or so if things go well.

Hehe glad to hear it. I - luckily - am a student. So do not have to worry about the job thing for atleast another two years.

Hope all goes well, and get the hell off of SEN you lazy bum! Get a job! :)

I talked with Progammer and he said we could copy-paste all his work as long as we tell the source (sc2mapster), and if there are downloads (maps), link to the link on sc2mapster as well.

Oh noes I still haven't left properly! Anyway I still have the SEN wiki on my Reader which is half the reason I keep logging back in here, and I couldn't help but notice that practically every edit payne makes (OK a slight exaggeration) involves adding a link to sc2mapster. This is ridiculous, I don't notice you linking to hive or any of our affiliates, but you go out of your way to add sc2mapster links. If you're copying and pasting their articles and tutes, just stop. Read their articles, learn from them, then make your own and add to it so it's better and not plagiarized.

Red classic.

Yeah, this was brought up in another thread as well. We can't have plagiarized tutorials and we can't be lazy about this.

I've looked at some (I admit: not all) of our affiliates' tutorials and they aren't as relevant as what I could find over SC2Mapster.
Moreover, linking to an external website isn't plagiarism. Even not mentioning the author of the resource I'm linking to wouldn't be. Anyways...

Sorry for not having the time to actually understand and write tutorials as epic as ProzaicMuze's tutorials. ;o
I'm already spending a lot of time on SEN, often prioritizing it over school, so asking me to do such a thing is kind of suicidal. :P
Moreover, what's wrong with linking to those sources? And if you know any relevant tutorials from our other affiliate, no one ever retrained you from posting them in the wiki. I do what I think is the best for the wiki's purpose which is to be as complete and relevant as possible. If we're missing an article, I believe setting a temporary link for our users is extremely relevant.

@Devlin: Why haven't you deleted 'Movers' and 'Actors' articles as I've recommended you?

EDIT: Devlin posted while I was writing the post. :P
If I am to copy-paste a complete tutorial in our wiki, I'd have already asked the permission from the author.
I've obtained the agreement of OneTwo and Progammer, and we're waiting for ProzaicMuze's. Obliviron's would be a good deal as well, but no one contacted him.

Anyways, my point is that linking to a website isn't plagiarism... where the hell did you find this?

Because I'm hoping someone will just write complete articles for them so I don't have to.

EDIT:
I didn't say linking to another website was plagiarism.

EDIT2:
To clarify, I just have an issue with articles like Actors and Movers that just have links to other forums, but I'm also hoping someone either reads the linked tutorials and writes a new article for us or just magically understands the topic really well and writes one from scratch.

Quote from DevliN
Right, but our wiki should have articles added for our wiki. If we have a bunch of pages linking to other sites, then that defeats the purpose of what we're trying to accomplish. It would be better to read the pages those articles link to and write our own explanation. And then, we can link to the external pages if need be under a "See also" section.
This sums up my thoughts on it perfectly.

There's a lot of links to external source there. If you feel like creating a page to share this link directly into it, go on! I personally believe the fact of seeing a Red Link actually pushes people to write something about it. :O

I don't get it. If you want my wiki, use my wiki. Why bother copy/pasting all my articles without my permission?

1) We've never copy/pasted any of your articles without permission.
2) Our goal here is to create a wiki that isn't owned by any community in itself... which is somewhat the basic purpose of Wikis. Anything in a Wiki should be Open Source and free to use. If you refuse to collaborate, it's alright, but you can't force your members to not authorize us to copy/paste their stuff.

If you consider you can say "my wiki", than it's not a wiki, period.

We aren't copy/pasting any of them, as far as I know. If we do decide to copy/paste any, we have permission from a few authors to do so as long as credit is given to the author. For now, we have a few articles that link to SC2M tutorials in a "See Also" fashion, in case there's something we missed or if someone wants to see the application of a given reference guide.

Incidentally, reason I haven't left properly yet is because I want to see GWN up and running before I go away, plus I haven't been mapping or playing any games which actually means I have time to go on SEN AND jobsearch :awesome:

Besides. The articles that are wholly comprised of an SC2Mapster tutorial are only place-holders, until we can find the time to write them up and make them comply to our guidelines (which are still undergoing creation). In 99% of cases we only link to SC2Mapster to provide further information.

What's the beef?
