It was fun making cool little firegraft edits

Click the wraith at the top left corner of the Navbar. It will toggle off the SCII section and show the BW forums.
Seriously, this is why we need to default to "show both". A lot of prospective members probably get turned away when they notice that there is no longer a BW section.

Lol ok. Didn't see that there. thanks.

Yeah I didn't notice this for a while either. =o

Quoted to express support.
I've had map-makers on Battle.net who were looking for assistance tell me that they checked SEN but thought it no longer supported SC1. Maybe people who don't venture beyond the boundaries of SEN don't realize this, but SC1 mapping isn't dead at all; there are still new maps being tested constantly, and even new mapping clans being formed. That it
is dead
here, therefore, says more about SEN than it does about the state of SC1-- and I think one of the things that it is saying is that SC1 forums shouldn't be concealed by default.

Yea, I had no idea either. If there was some text under those icons, saying SC2 and SC1, it would be fine. While you're at it (if you're at it), maybe make them a lil bigger to be safe.
And if you're really serious about clarity, maybe give the sc2 area a different color theme than the sc1 area. Can't be that hard in today's scripted forums.

>be faceless void >mfw I have no face
And this only amplifies the complaints of having a button to switch between SC1 and 2, it's a bad idea in general, especially because the buttons blend well into the background.
It's sorta sad that good aesthetics is a bad thing in this case

Honestly, I don't understand why it's hidden at all. The SC1 forum shouldn't be hidden; SEN started as a SC1 site and is still fairly strong in SC1 mapping. However, I agree SC2 will be the wave of the future, and I agree that SC2 should be higher on the forums than SC1, but SC1 should still not be hidden by default, if at all.

B-But toggles are like, so
enterprisey! We will totally lose all the members we have if we didn't have toggles, right?
...right?
None.
If I remember correctly, the point of being able to toggle was due to the fact that we now have a ton of forums, and perhaps those who don't care about the SC1 forums want to just get rid of them. The whole toggle thing should be redone. If you have both enabled in the settings, then clicking either button does nothing, and that needs to change. Maybe the next time I see Devourer on AIM or MSN, I'll ask if there's any way I can have them both on by default.
Either way, this topic is now closed because everyone agreeing with each other does nothing but mineral farm.
