I don't see what's so bad about it. It's some intermediate dat editing mixed with Firegraft experimentation and a little graphics scripting mixed in, there are lots of small scale mods like this and everyone starts somewhere.

besides, many of the aforementioned mods are much, much, worse.

Why does everyone hate newbies in modding? We dont mess up other people's mods in the way n00bs lose team games online.

I don't mind helping but you gotta do things for yourself. Maplantis is kinda annoyed by the 15+ help threads you made in Maplantis in less than a week :/ . A_of_s_t is one of those annoyed Maplanteans.

Lol way to demoralize.

It's no wonder there are so few SC modders.

Thanks for saying what I would have said for something like that...

modmaster50: I hope your modding goes along great man. I don't think that really any mod is a 'bad' one since it isn't the most simplest thing to do in the world. Hope the making of this goes nice and easy. :D

Yup! Thanks to RoryFenrir. I still need to fix this annoying zerg crash bug listed in Glitches Galore thread. Also, SCV overlay doesnt work with firebat GRP.

Both units use a different number of frames, the SCV about 51 and the firebat somewhere in the 220's. You'd have to properly adjust the LO file to support the firebats' alloted number of frames for it to work properly.

I do stuff for myself. I did ALL of the Dat Editing and Grafting by myself. Asking questions is not "having other ppl do stuff for you".

Modify which .lo? file. I will just make my own .lo? file and add it. Which one to edit? The overlay's .lo?. If I edit it to use 228 frames, wont it crash on the SCV?

Not really, the SCV just won't really utilize those frames.

As for adding a new LO* file altogether, not really recommended. Bit of a pain, I tried it and had to edit a ton of entries in the dat files and images.tbl, and didn't even really get it to work anyway. Starcraft doesn't like it when you add things to it. ;\

Well, if you plan to use the SCV's LOO file, then increase the number of frames. It takes a few seconds, and if it fucks up and doesn't work, you lost nothing but five minutes of your time.

Well I will say the reason why you have been getting griped at is because you ask for help on everything. You should try to fix it yourself first like I do :D .Trust me if you know anything on the basics you can usally fix it.Anyways I hope you get some good use out of making this mod.

I don't see why you nark on him for asking for help alot. It's not like anyone's forcing the pro modders to answer the questions.

It seems everyone thinks that I post for help whenever the game crashes or something. Thats incorrect. I actually look it through for the problem before posting. If I posted every time the game crashed, there would be like 100 posts.
