Flooded Pastures
The "Great City" of "Alkasur" (Ael-Ka-Zaur) Named the gem of the desert, it was at the height of there civilization when a group of alchmist discovered a magic tablet which they discovered could make water out of nothing, there greed soon over came then until the tablet broke and flooded the city...
(It was so large when i finished it i decided that so you can see the intricate details of it I zoomed out 66 percent...)

Water's Domain
Those who were drowned, they drowned in sacred water which transformed every living thing in sight into a hideous mutated water creature

Temple Of The Beast
Before the time of the tablet this temple was called the aegis of kings which literally translates to unstoppable palace of dead kings, it was later converted to a outlying outpost hopefully to expand into other areas... (see grey area) this was a recreation of the tablet which they hopefully would create more resources but it did protect it against the flood, but the text was re-written most likely a warning

Remember you can't chain the beast...(Scratch Marks)(Watery Resin) It is alive in each and every one of us the deeper we delve the deeper we find ourselves.

Cracked Temple Of The Beast
After the 3 great heroes came to the flooded city thus reversing the process the temple forever cracked....
And so without the power of the tablet the land just started to take it back...

I really like the idea of this thread. You created a setting, and then you reveal the lore surrounding it. I think it's a fantastic concept and that more people should do stuff like this. Heck, I may give it a try myself when I have the time.

As for the terrain, the water part looks nice enough (though it's not my style). The doodads are pretty good, but there are some really weird height issues going on there. Now about the dirt part, it may be decently blended, but it doesn't really look like anything to me. Just sort of a blob with height issues again. I love this kind of post though, and I hope it catches on!

I loved the first two but the last one was too blocky. Perhaps consider covering some of it with bushes or dead trees?

The first (or should I say first two) were nice, but I think the last one is way too blocky. I don't know if this was intended, but the white part on the left part of the temple looks like a beast's head roaring.

I like it although it doesn't really have a land form... To me the way you laid everything out it just looks like an oasis in the middle of a barren wasteland or something, but I like your doodading and the whole story is really engaging if you will...
