Yes that's my excuse too. Not much torque at low revs, but the engine feels very different as you approach 4000rpm. Pretty sure the car will drink oil if I continue to do that though! It's a fairly tame car, drivetrain-wise, but has a nice engine that noticably outputs more power at 4000 RPM and above, while being fairly light. It's fun, so that's probably all Civic drivers are looking for - expressing their driving pleasure.
