jjf28 -- ... wait, so nukes can be arbitarily stalled/mostly completed now?
[2018-5-27. : 2:10 am]
Generalpie -- I'm just here for the free karma
[2018-5-27. : 2:10 am]
Generalpie -- :P
[2018-5-26. : 11:57 pm]
Pr0nogo -- reddit is not a useful website for driving engagement in any capacity that anyone here should be interested in though
[2018-5-26. : 11:55 pm]
Pr0nogo -- plenty of people on my discord server make stuff but nobody works particularly fast
[2018-5-26. : 11:35 pm]
Voyager7456 -- 25%!
[2018-5-26. : 11:35 pm]
Voyager7456 -- Corbo finished a new mod recently
[2018-5-26. : 11:21 pm]
Lanthanide -- being able to edit typos on discord has really spoiled me
[2018-5-26. : 11:20 pm]
Lanthanide -- well*
[2018-5-26. : 11:18 pm]
Lanthanide -- also Septhai and Sayoka in Discord seem to be doing something
[2018-5-26. : 11:18 pm]
Lanthanide -- me, Voy, Pronogo and Farty
[2018-5-26. : 11:17 pm]
Lanthanide -- we I'm assuming there's 20 regulars, and that 4 of us are creating stuff
[2018-5-26. : 11:08 pm]
Voyager7456 -- Lanthanide
Lanthanide shouted: I think saying "we" create is a bit of a stretch, since i'd guess that less than 20% of the regular do any creation at all
mad Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: I'd say that's a stretch and I'd guess that less than 20% have even opened SCBW in the past month lmao
madder Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: who cares
as always, maddest
[2018-5-26. : 11:00 pm]

lil-Inferno -- Excalibur Haven't even opened the link and I already know you probs talmbout how you're Excalibur and you're a moderator of one of the last bastions of StarCraft custom content or w/e
[2018-5-26. : 10:08 pm]
Moose -- Dem0n just mad all the time and he hate Reddit LMAO
[2018-5-26. : 10:07 pm]
Excalibur -- Thread like that gives us a chance to say to the world 'Hey. We're here. We exist. We create.', and maybe someone else sees that and comes here, and they begin their SEN journey.
[2018-5-26. : 10:06 pm]
Excalibur -- I do. What we've built here over the years is something special, and I'm really grateful that I'm a part of this. You should be too.
[2018-5-26. : 9:56 pm]
Dem0n -- who cares
[2018-5-26. : 9:27 pm]
Moose -- If you start up vim or emacs without any arguments (ie not opening a file), they both tell you how to quit on the first screen
[2018-5-26. : 8:39 pm]
Generalpie -- This must be what it feels like when a normie peeks into a conversation about custom mechanical keyboards
[2018-5-26. : 8:33 pm]
Jack -- just use gedit or smthing if u a noobie linux user
[2018-5-26. : 8:32 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- Biophysicist
Biophysicist shouted: It's really not hard at all. You enter command mode (like all commands), press colon (like for most commands that aren't text editing), then type q (for quit) and enter (like all colon commands). The conventions are there; you've just gotta get them in their fingers.
Ya, but now tell that to somebody who is using Linux for the first time. And be sure to say "Its not hard at all"
[2018-5-26. : 8:28 pm]
jjf28 -- Biophysicist

basically have to know how or you're just screwed tho xD

[2018-5-26. : 6:39 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- that would be a nasty trap
[2018-5-26. : 6:39 pm]
Suicidal Insanity -- considering how hard it is to quit vi using a keyboard
[2018-5-26. : 5:50 pm]
Vrael -- wait, you guys don't use the convenient neural link-up when you use vi?
[2018-5-26. : 11:48 am]
Moose -- The ultimate beginner's trap of vi is thinking you can "just type" anything. That was pretty much what pushed me to emacs at the beginning lmao
[2018-5-26. : 11:39 am]
NudeRaider -- Biophysicist
Biophysicist shouted: TBH the best piece of vim advice is to not use the arrow keys (while you're learning). Forcing yourself to use hjkl makes it so much easier to start using other motions and then it's only a short hop to real benefits.
more importantly: Don't try entering numbers via numpad
[2018-5-26. : 2:32 am]
Generalpie -- I just use Sublime. It's easier to mass create commands with snippets, format logs and command histories, and write ticket updates with bbcode.
[2018-5-26. : 2:30 am]
Jack -- Visual studio code is pretty good
[2018-5-26. : 2:16 am]
Generalpie -- Interesting?
[2018-5-26. : 2:16 am]
Generalpie -- ?
[2018-5-26. : 2:01 am]
Biophysicist -- Ooooooh, interesting
[2018-5-26. : 1:53 am]
Generalpie -- I can only go down to like 60% before I have a brain fart before typing
[2018-5-26. : 1:51 am]
Generalpie -- You guys sound like the kind that would like 40% keyboards
[2018-5-26. : 1:39 am]
Biophysicist -- TBH the best piece of vim advice is to not use the arrow keys (while you're learning). Forcing yourself to use hjkl makes it so much easier to start using other motions and then it's only a short hop to real benefits.

NudeRaider -- lil-Inferno
lil-Inferno shouted: ya but then that's one more game I'll have in my library but never play
it's not too bad. I've played it for 2 hours until I unlocked the hack for "iPhones" (eOS-devices). Pretty straightforward once you get the logic though. Expected more need to draw conclusions yourself.
[2018-5-26. : 1:34 am]
Lanthanide -- a console editor
[2018-5-26. : 1:26 am]
Vrael -- no u
[2018-5-26. : 12:13 am]
Dem0n -- u
[2018-5-25. : 11:43 pm]
Pr0nogo -- what's joe
[2018-5-25. : 11:31 pm]
Lanthanide -- 'cause you spend longer getting it just right
[2018-5-25. : 11:31 pm]
Lanthanide -- I find Word Art has 78% fewer bugs
[2018-5-25. : 11:31 pm]
Vrael -- bet you didn't even know that code written in sans serif runs 23% faster because of compiler optimizations
[2018-5-25. : 11:30 pm]
Vrael -- pssht I use Microsoft Word to write all my code like a real code artisan should
[2018-5-25. : 11:24 pm]
Lanthanide -- and not require arcane keystrokes to do basic things
[2018-5-25. : 11:24 pm]
Lanthanide -- since I like my editors to actually make sense
[2018-5-25. : 11:24 pm]
Lanthanide -- I use joe

jjf28 -- :prof:

thekian -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: Biophysicist HAVE MEANINGFUL DISCUSSION AND CREATE QUALITY ORIGINAL CONTENT FOR STARCRAFT
Heh, that's a good one.
[2018-5-25. : 10:26 pm]
Vrael -- Biophysicist
Biophysicist shouted: Pls, what else are you supposed to do on a starcraft site
HAVE MEANINGFUL DISCUSSION AND CREATE QUALITY ORIGINAL CONTENT FOR STARCRAFT

Biophysicist -- Pls, what else are you supposed to do on a starcraft site
[2018-5-25. : 9:01 pm]
lil-Inferno -- just don't shitpost anime or w/e
[2018-5-25. : 9:01 pm]
lil-Inferno -- Biophysicist
Biophysicist shouted: Can someone post up a Discord link?
https://discord.gg/XcC2Wj
[2018-5-25. : 8:57 pm]
Biophysicist -- JetBrains products also have vim emulation, which is really friggin cool. It's basically vim with strong refactoring tools.
[2018-5-25. : 8:53 pm]
Moose -- I was also exaggerating the keystroke efficiency. Since that might not have been obvious to some of you LMAO
[2018-5-25. : 8:50 pm]
Biophysicist -- Voyager7456
Voyager7456 shouted: Mini Moose 2707 anything except quit
<Esc>:q<enter> is exactly four keystrokes.
[2018-5-25. : 8:46 pm]
Biophysicist -- Can someone post up a Discord link?
[2018-5-25. : 8:23 pm]
lil-Inferno -- mad
[2018-5-25. : 7:55 pm]
Pr0nogo -- next time you think about posting homobundle links, be a good consumer and type u instead
[2018-5-25. : 7:01 pm]
lil-Inferno -- ya but then that's one more game I'll have in my library but never play
[2018-5-25. : 12:45 pm]
NudeRaider -- Free: Hacknet - Deluxe https://www.humblebundle.com/store/hacknet-deluxe
[2018-5-25. : 10:51 am]
NudeRaider -- when I'm on console I just use nano.
[2018-5-25. : 10:02 am]
Moose -- vi is on pretty much Linux distro, emacs is usually an optional package. So Vrael's use case of people not upgrading their OS for 800 years favors vi.
[2018-5-25. : 8:56 am]
Suicidal Insanity -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: I use vi frequently
Man, no emacs? :D :D :D
