[2016-2-10. : 10:24 am]
KrayZee -- For some reason, I don't watch strolling zombies.

O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- fixed the crash locally *, I was going to do the other one before I put it up
[2016-2-10. : 6:18 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- o. I think in the latest one goliaths and geysers still crash. I fixed the crash, but I haven't fixed them completely
[2016-2-10. : 6:11 am]

[2016-2-10. : 6:00 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Dem0n
Dem0n shouted: Debugging someone else's code when you don't know what type certain variables are is the most frustrating thing ever
just pretend it's a variant type!
[2016-2-10. : 5:32 am]
jjf28 -- per-chance any hls players here?
[2016-2-10. : 5:27 am]
Dem0n -- Debugging someone else's code when you don't know what type certain variables are is the most frustrating thing ever
[2016-2-10. : 5:26 am]
Dem0n -- But I agree, implicitly typed languages are dumb
[2016-2-10. : 5:26 am]
Dem0n -- dumbducky
dumbducky shouted: I don't get how people like Python
Vrael's gonna kill you lmao
[2016-2-10. : 5:03 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- molten cookies is the most delicious thing I have ever eaten
[2016-2-10. : 5:03 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- my friend just baked cookies, and as soon as he set the pan down from removing it from an oven I picked one up and ate it
[2016-2-10. : 4:57 am]
Fire_Kame -- implying explicitly
[2016-2-10. : 4:53 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- cool, done with my trig homework. Now I have an empty weebly website
[2016-2-10. : 4:51 am]
dumbducky -- Features implicit typing
[2016-2-10. : 4:51 am]
dumbducky -- Core philosophy: "Explicit is better than implicit"
[2016-2-10. : 4:45 am]
dumbducky -- Everything is so loosely defined it feels like you're supposed to just make shit up as you go
[2016-2-10. : 4:44 am]
jjf28 -- I don't find it all that practical, makes things like tuple lists very nice tho :)
[2016-2-10. : 4:43 am]
jjf28 -- ask poiuy
[2016-2-10. : 4:42 am]
dumbducky -- I don't get how people like Python
[2016-2-10. : 4:37 am]
Dem0n -- I always did the worst in my gen eds because I just couldn't get myself to care about them lmao
[2016-2-10. : 4:32 am]
dumbducky -- I agree. Projects in 400 level classes. Unless your applying to teach high school class, no one will give a shit about general ed assignments.
[2016-2-10. : 4:30 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- and like as your education gets higher your work, I imagine, will be more meaningful
[2016-2-10. : 4:29 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- like I can understand some stuff that might be useful for such a portfolio, like a relevant course where you actually made something.. but just generals homework is not any such thing
[2016-2-10. : 4:26 am]
dumbducky -- And your degree demonstrates "I did my homework"
[2016-2-10. : 4:25 am]
dumbducky -- "I did my homework"
[2016-2-10. : 4:25 am]
dumbducky -- Commits demonstrate "I did things" just as much as "
[2016-2-10. : 4:23 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- But really, I think an employer will definitely care more about "I did my homework" than "Here's applicable skills I can use."
[2016-2-10. : 4:22 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- oshit, I knew what you meant I just included the wording in the part I was responding to.
[2016-2-10. : 4:22 am]
dumbducky -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: dumbducky It's still not worthless though. It's experience with a whatever git is called system, and I am adding original code
No I meant your trig homework with reflection is worthless. Also, good spin
[2016-2-10. : 4:21 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- ... Or just ask jjf and have him tell me where to put it. Which is good interpersonal team skills!
[2016-2-10. : 4:21 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Like I have to read through the existing code to see where to put references to what I'm adding, and then add the intermediate code
[2016-2-10. : 4:20 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- dumbducky
dumbducky shouted: You don't have to tell potential employers that. And yeah, that's a worthless portfolio
It's still not worthless though. It's experience with a whatever git is called system, and I am adding original code
[2016-2-10. : 4:19 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- But it'd still be better than this shit, even if it's not 100% original code
[2016-2-10. : 4:19 am]
dumbducky -- You don't have to tell potential employers that. And yeah, that's a worthless portfolio
[2016-2-10. : 4:17 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Except that might not be the best example, because I just sort of looked at SC and was like oh that's what it's doing, then copied it point-for-point :P
[2016-2-10. : 4:17 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I'd much rather just point to my chkd commits and be like "There's a thing I can do."
[2016-2-10. : 4:16 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- "Instructors in every Gen Ed course will ask you to put at least one assignment from the course into your ePortfolio, and accompany it with reflective writing. It is a requirement in this class for you to add to your ePortfolio, and this syllabus details the assignments and reflections you are to include."
[2016-2-10. : 4:15 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Like my trig homework tonight is to ensure I have such a portfolio, because I'll need to put something on it for this class at some point
[2016-2-10. : 4:14 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- No, my point is we're required to put shit from our classes on it
[2016-2-10. : 4:14 am]
dumbducky -- Not a bad idea to have a portfolio. But your going to want it to point to your commits to chkdraft rather than your trig homework
[2016-2-10. : 4:13 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- what potential employer is going to care what I thought about my like chapter 2.3 trig homework or whatever?
[2016-2-10. : 4:07 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- apparently I have to make some kind of e-portfolio for my college :\ wtf is this shit
[2016-2-10. : 4:05 am]
lil-Inferno -- sleep
[2016-2-10. : 4:03 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- wat should I do today? I'm all sleepy and stuff
[2016-2-10. : 3:56 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- dumbducky
dumbducky shouted: 💃I guess this is all you really need aside from the smiley that's thinking
👻
[2016-2-10. : 3:28 am]
Dem0n -- Probably lmao
[2016-2-10. : 3:28 am]
Dem0n -- I wonder if I'm still negative even after getting like 1100 minerals in the past two months
[2016-2-10. : 3:21 am]
Moose -- dumbducky
dumbducky shouted: Is there a way to see lifetime winnings from boxes?
I tracked it manually for awhile Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: 100 days of magic boxes: Loss = 290 minerals Average = 17.1 Standard Deviation = 26.942
[2016-2-10. : 3:20 am]
jjf28 -- RIP poison's -2000some
[2016-2-10. : 3:20 am]
jjf28 -- not anymore
[2016-2-10. : 3:19 am]
dumbducky -- Is there a way to see lifetime winnings from boxes?
[2016-2-10. : 3:18 am]
jjf28 -- dumbducky
dumbducky shouted: But for you personally, what's the reason? I'm not trying to start some gay flame war here
GAY FLAME WAR!
[2016-2-10. : 3:16 am]
Moose -- I'm still down like 200, but go for it, lmao
[2016-2-10. : 3:15 am]
Dem0n -- lmao boutta start stealing Moose's box
[2016-2-10. : 3:15 am]
Moose -- BloodyZombie117
BloodyZombie117 shouted: Hey Moosel you didn't get a zero from that box. Congrats. Do it again.
k
[2016-2-10. : 3:05 am]
dumbducky -- I downloaded the files on his account. This was before I made my own account
[2016-2-10. : 3:03 am]
Moose -- Was the previous user dumb? XDDDDDD
[2016-2-10. : 3:02 am]
dumbducky -- Redownloaded, make worked fine
[2016-2-10. : 3:02 am]
dumbducky -- Mini Moose 2707
Mini Moose 2707 shouted: You shouldn't be able to copy a file into your own space and then not be able to do whatever with it. You should be the owner of the copy, unless someone pulled some shenanigans with an alias on cp.
previous user was the owner of it and the make file in it wouldn't work. Used chown and chmod to give myself full permissions, make still didn't work
