I did have an original map i made...accidently classed it as melee when it was UMS...unfortunately it was lost when SEN went down. I also have a campaign Im working on currently...unfortunately it requires my mod...which Im no good at making. It's based off of a series that i did not write which can be found here:
Bane seriesThe maps and mods are both in early alpha and have only been released once (I got laughed off the thread and removed them).
Oh and don't dis something till you've tried it. 1 reason i call it a crash rpg is you crash. another is the map this draws it's inspiration from, Crystal RPG, was originally a modified version of Crash RPG 1. The last is because of the rushes which don't work?

Even if you crash, there are TONS of maps that involve "Crashing" into a landing site, and an adventure unfolds.
Alot of Resident Evil maps have this (the non-massing ones).
Instead of "Crash RPG X Beta9Xe" (which btw, no one will remember).
Why not go for something simple?
Using Twilight Tileset as an example (most crash rpgs are on this):
Twilight Moon RPG. Its at least more intruiging than: LOL I CRASHED, AND NOW HACK N SLASH KKKKKKK WINNNNN.
Some of the features here are interesting, but the name is what "Gets People".

...name will probably be changed when next version comes out, unless alot of bugs are found
. In 3 days if no bugs are found in the newest version, this is going into production buggy or not.

There ya go, now edit the terrain a lot, get rid of the useless buildings, replace them with somekinda spawns, add spells, and change the tileset and you might get somewhere.
And no, your title is better than "Crash RPG: OMG OMG OMG ANOTHER LOL XTREME HARD CRAZY INSANE OtherwordusedafterSpecialForces"

With the potential to buy new heroes, spells would get pretty hectic due to all the trigger's firing at once. & Why are the buildings useless...i admit the dumb comp can't build yet like it's supposed to (why won't zerg campaign insane AI work?), but it could be worse. As far as the tileset goes most maps of this type are set on twilight so i decided to use a dif tileset. There are spawns you just probably never found it or got a bunch of could not place unit errors.
Oh...for those that voted 10 or 11, those were votes counting towards it being ready for release. 11 meaning it was perfect and didn't need any more work.
Fine Dark Marine...u mentioned a tileset changed version...i did make 1 and it is a lot bigger, unfortunately it's still in pre-alpha and i can't get SCMIE to work. Only the very beggining is scripted. The current version is prealpha and it was/is supposed to be a remake of this one, it was started round the interval between Beta7or8X & Beta9X. 8X was never released due to serious corruption issues with unit stats. Oh, and an interesting side note, the stats for 9X and up are mostly the ones from a4. I consider b9f to be Version .09f. I dislike having to go to version 1.0 due to fact i am extremely paranoid that once i do so all hell will break loose.

I just relized something...in 1 version i did have spells...but that was b4 reincarnation or buying new heroes was implemented. said version was unfortunately lost.

Selections are cool:
Option 1: Spells Enabled.
Option 2: Reincarnation Enabled
Option 3: Purchase Additional Heroes Enabled
Option 4: Reincarnation AND Additional Heroes Enabled
Option 5: Reincarnation AND Additional Heroes Enabled, however, Additional Heroes will not be Reincarnated.
Option 6: Spells AND Reincarnation Enabled.
And from here, you add in things like (X) lives. Or (Infinite) lives, and/or (X) Max Mana

it twas just a request but thx. I will see if i can maybe script spells but don't get your hopes up. Last map of mine with spells ended up crashing starcraft due to too many units being produced.

Vi3T-X, I just remembered an open error on my map. Last time i opened the map in SCMDraft it complained of 300 unplaceable units and deleted them when they are valid & placeable. thought you should know.
