I'm pretty sure the Town AIs were made for the campaign, use the Custom AI you want it to work like a basic melee computer, I know the Terran 1 - Shareware is a good AI if you just want them to mine and do basic repairs.

Make sure the race of the computer matches up with the AI for it, like, if it's terran, even if you give it Zerg units, it won't be able to run Zerg AIs properly, units, race, and AI all have to be the same.

Have you tried the Custom AIs?

If you are using any "base", place a location over it and run a "Town AI Script". You can also try running "Normal AI" and such. All units will begin mining (I think there was a "Mining Base" script too).

Try running the Ai script over a smaller area. Your "ruhr" location might be a bit big. Create a new location that just covers the CC + the scv's. Then run an Ai at that location. Run a script depending on what you want your computer to do. If you just want it to mine almost any script will do. If you want it to build shit and attack etc, then use a custom script. easy, medium, insane, or the standard melee TMCx one. alright good luck... try a smaller location.

I changed locaion's size covering just CC and SCV's and scv kept on mining only one mineral chunk .. I just want scv to mine no other actions needed

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

The easiest way to do this is applying any AI and set the computer's race to something except terran. :P

yep. If any of the 3 (actual unit, race setting, ai) doesn't match then the comp will only mine.
