Well, you had me all excited, because you said temple doodad, this is really a ruins doodad. But nonetheless, it's smexy! Making the temple look like it's in the ground was very original, good job.

Now, there's a few fixes, first of all, check out this tutorial the steps after 6 show how to use a different portion of the bridge to get less blocks when going from water to bridge to ruins.

And you should also check out this tutorial to figure out how to get those cliffs right, they shouldn't be that blocky, and it's not too difficult to fix.

Sorry I have to critique you like that, you really did do a great job, in fact, I'd say that if you fixed up the spots I pointed out, I would totally love to see this in the Hall of Fame, keep up the good terraining!

I'm afraid some of the blends in this aren't as good as they look in the picture, it's a very heavily compressed Jpeg (and therefore very smudgy).

However, the actually piece is pretty decent, but the surrounding area isn't particularly impressive to me, and I don't think it fits (the waterfall is also very blocky). Remember not to just make terrain for terrain's sake, give a feel and importance to your piece (don't just randomly stick some ruins somewhere). All in all, it's a very nice effort and pretty decently blended.

Falkoner, that tutorial needs to cover corners that you encounter when trying to "bend" bridges into a different direction (which can be done very nicely without sprites).

Well, I haven't made an odd-shaped bridge tutorial yet, and that's probably where I would explain how to do that.

It still seems to look nice though.

sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
