2. Lucifer was Jesus' brother
Uh, SiN, all Christian and many other religions that we are ALL brothers and sisters so obviously Lucifer was also his brother.
I don't think he means "brother" in that sense, but rather a literal related-by-blood brother. Unless I missed something in school and church, brothers in Christ and people sharing the same parents are two different things. ;o
Though, I suppose it's okay to apply this to Lucifer and Jesus. I wouldn't say I was the brother of some random man in Mongolia.
Well, in Heaven, we were all children of our Heavenly Father, and so, since we all have the same Father, we are all brothers and sisters.
None.
Well, I'm not sure if Moose is entirely right (Sorry Moose) but that's just the way I've learned it.
None.
I don't even know what to say. For once I am speechless.
But, since none of you are %100 sure about most of your doctrine, I've got the funny feeling each of your churches recognizes and values your rules differently. Opposed to a typical Methodist church or Catholic church where there certainly isn't this level of confusion.
There's a lot of diversity in the beliefs of any group with tens of thousands (or more) of members... unless they're mass brainwashed, but I don't think we're dealing with that here. ;o

Southpark which is not a very reliable source btw...)
Excuse me, southpark is as reliable as a source you can get. I did not know you could get high off marigolds and yes, I've confirmed that you can kind of.

In our church, all the doctrine is the same basics. You can go to Australia and find it the same as in America. Some parts of it you have to find you for yourself, otherwise you wouldn't have learned much at all.
None.
I used to live in Utah, so in know pretty much everything about the religion.
1. (correct me if im wrong, my Mormon friend told me this) there is a fifth 'lost' sect of Judaism
2. Lucifer was Jesus' brother

4. There are thousands of worlds each with their own god.
5. A male that completes a Mormon mission on Earth can become his own god of a planet, and the wife that he chooses becomes the goddess.
As a EX Mormon I can say this list sums them up except 4 and 5 I never once heard of such things by a Mormon.I really think a certain group is to blame on spreading that believe about Mormons
None.
Well, God didn't "Give" 1/3rd of us to Lucifer. 1/3rd chose to go with them.
None.
Then you don't believe in an omnipotent and omniscient god? The average Christian does.
We do believe that, but we also believe that we have free agency. We can choose to do whatever we want, and cannot be forced to do anything.
None.

well what i had got from it was that the holy spirit had 'impregnated' the Virgin Mary bearing her two sons which were Jesus and Lucifer. And then Jesus and Lucifer 'fought' over the control of Earth. And then Jesus got most of the people to follow him.

it confuses me as well. The thing i don't like is that it is based off of only one idea and that is the Golden Plates that Joseph Smith possessed. Without that information everything seems to be pointless, and based off of false assumptions.
Just because you used to live in Utaj doesn't mean you know everything about Mormons. I live in Utaj and was raised Mormon, and I know very little. I've never heard of most of those things you said... You're little paragraph is a bit brief and cuts out a bit more. Mormons didn't come directly to Utaj... They got kicked out of a lot of places by mobs and such.
well its a shame that you haven't learned most of the religion if you were raised that way.
Oh and excuse me for saying "i know pretty much everything", that was not what i was trying to say.
oh and thank you for correcting me on most of the things i posted.

[we] cannot be forced to do anything.
That contradicts your belief in an omnipotent God. Were he omnipotent, he'd be able to force you to do anything.
Well, God didn't "Give" 1/3rd of us to Lucifer. 1/3rd chose to go with them.
And since he is omniscient, he made that 1/3 knowing that they would ultimately fall, to where they would irreversibly be subject to more pain and sorrow than anything we currently know or will ever know in the entire universe.
