Does anyone have a map that SC won't read or that an editor won't read? I have actually never been able to screw a map to the point where SC/staredit won't read it. Please post any maps that are corrupted, have string errors, location errors, sound errors, ect.

Thanks.

It's quite easy to do so, if you want Staredit not to read, it, simply protect the map, if you want SC to not read it, simply delete certain sections of the CHK :P

How do normal people corrupt their maps, though?

maybe their using 2 editors, 1 either sf or x-tra, and the other SCMdraft, and since scmdraft recycles strings and such.. iunno. maybe. happened to me often when i started out mapmaking :(

Ah, okay. Now I need to figure out how to Unrecycle Strings (yes, I know other programs do that).

Messing with strings using StarForge is a great way to corrupt maps :P

I always used to use 3 editors co operatively: SCMD-0.6, SF2.2 and SCXE2.6, and i never had any problem-_-.

Have you made any big maps(RPGs) because switching between two editors is dangerous, let alone three... Also, what is the reason to use three? I can see a reason to use SF and SCM Draft, but not all three...
