Found a map un - protector, i can use to work like a protector ( Use starforge final. open with unused unprotector )
unused unprotector works 100%, i think. i open the file... click unprotect, then save and when i save the file and then try to open it again in scmd
this error happens "Error reading scenario.chk from MPQ. Check to verify map isn't corrupt."
have no idea how to fix, any help thanks :

It's probably not made to unprotect maps by that one protector so you probably corrupted it when you tried to unprotect it, hopefully you kept a backup for yourself.

Or starforge corrupted it. That happens occasionally.
Starforge is buggy - especially if you made the map with another editor or use another editor after using starforge.

i dont have, starforge yet, but one man suggested i do such [ -> final -> unprotect ] insted of using Proedit

Now, i downloaded Starforge, it works, i can protect maps but not re-open them with the un - protector, mabey the un - protector is just, noob
anyone have a good un - protector ( apart from Gosedit or w/e ) it has same error message as proedit

I found, a application i can use, to protect my maps " SECOMPRESS " it works, now i need to find a 100% working map: un protector...
without the file: MPQCTL.ocx <- in it, becuase all applications i use with that file in it, dont work i found out
are there any un protectors without that file in it?
What about gu Edit?

Can somone just tell me WHY all the downloaded applications with this file in it dont work!!:

You probably won't understand but...
The map you were trying to unprotect most likely had a corrupted MPQ file.
Since OSMAP can use storm to extract scenario.chk, go with that.

Simple fix... Save a protected and unprotected copy of your maps, then you won't need to unprotect them. GG
