http://www.creepcolony.com > and when i go to run PROEDIT, after unziping it. it has a error message "Component MPQCTL.OCX or one or more if its dependencies not correctly registed: a file is missing or invalid"
Its also, a " Adobe reader " file, if that makes a difference, i'm so desperate i feel i cant be better map make untill i know, that no one can steal my maps once i release them, so if anyone can help me i'll be so happy

First of all, protecting maps keeps only noobs out. Everyone here knows how to unprotect maps. OSMAP and Unused Unprotector are two easy to use tools to crack EVERY protection.
To your problem: It sounds as if you would need the specified file. Check if it is in your program folder or in windows\system32 folder. If not, google it and copy it into both places.
i have the file in my "PROEDIT" file..

Hey, that file wasnt in system 62, so i moved in and same thing happend, i think my problem is that the file its trying 2 use, is adobe reaser insted of the other things in the file, i attached a picture, please donwload and have a look if you can

Although protecting does screw maps up something awful, allt he isom data gets thrown out, so there's no hope on non-extended terrain, and all the comments get chewed up too, so you got no idea what anything does til you read everything in the trigger...
I say Pro-Protection, sure a guy with OSMap can get it, but it's the retarded noobs who steal maps. Amirite?

system62? O.o it's system32, isn't it?
Even though it's easy to unprotect maps, most noobs on bnet don't know how.
Maybe you should try
Special Protector2. According to the maplantis description, it can only be unprotected with unused unprotector.

i downloaded special editor and the same error message came up.
as proedit

Do you have Starcraft properly installed?
Maybe it's not the .ocx file itself, but one of the said dependencies, which could be a mpq in the starcraft folder.
Btw. don't worry if .ocx is shown as Acrobat reader file. It won't intervene.
ProEdit sucks. I have it. It removed the sounds from my maps when i tried to protect them.
I just protect with starforge, because no matter what protection you use, OSMAP can unprotect it.
Also I used to have the same problem you have with missing files. *back when i used winzip*
I found a thing called WinAce at www.winace.com it's a free download... it says it's a trial, but even if it expires you can keep using it for free.
Ever since i've used winace to unzip my files instead of winzip i've never had a problem with missing files.
i unzipped some files with winzip and it said i was missing files... used winace and the program found all the files then.

Killing, that's only when you try to load the .exe inside the archive. If you extract everything in a folder then there's no difference.
Btw. you should get WinRar, it's better.

You see, i would do that... but ... osmap dosnt work, it has same error message as pro - edit " Run time error "
( Same error message as Proedit ) but pro edit dosnt have "run time error

Try using edit button. It's kinda annoying if 4 out of 5 posts are from the same person.
And try using question marks if you want to know something. I didn't see a question.
When you want to know how to use Proedit or OSMAP, I'm sorry I can't help you with it. "Runtime error" is not really specific
Try reading the readme's and/or faqs/forums on the developer sites.
You need to have Visual Basic Runtime Tools, or something like that, can't remember exact name, to run OS Map, since it runs on VB.
