I had the fortune of analyzing a poem called The Second Coming by the one named Yeats today in English. I'd like to share it with all of you because of how amazing I think it is.

I won't give away any spoilers, so I'll leave the thread at a generic "discuss."

Even without the context, it's still a poem filled with profound imagery.

You mean you're upset that you posted obscure-ish literature in hopes that people would read and enjoy it, but they didn't? Honestly I post things on SEN that I consider to be of the utmost brilliance but when nobody cares I let it go.

I suggest you learn to do the same.

-It's not "obsure-ish," it's a "major work of Modernist poetry" and a part of English canon.
-I'm not upset that they didn't enjoy it, I'm rather more upset that they decide to troll me instead.
-Sorry, but I posted this with its importance in English literature considered.
-I suggest you learn to be less of a pussy and keep trying.
-????
-lol

It's one of the most famous poems in English literature. Of course it is great. I also understand you were just mad at people trolling. But if you want this to be an interesting topic of any substance you should offer some of your own thoughts and interpretations first. Otherwise it's too hard for anyone else to find a way into the conversation.

If this was never written, and written today, nobody would give it a second look.
