Internet in Windows 7 stopped working

I order you to forgive yourself!

Sometimes the internet works, sometimes it doesn't. I made sure my laptop was not in plane mode.

Windows 7 can detect the wireless connection, but when it tries to connect to it, it will either fail or claim that is has a limited connection.

Edit: I restarted my modem and Windows managed to connect. I don't understand why it couldn't work before since Linux and mac and other devices could connect perfectly.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

I have had the same problem. It seems wireless devices aren't always as compatible as they should be.

It's only a compatibility issue? I guess it could explain why it works in Linux.

Crappy wifi basically.

My current high-end home wifi router periodically stops responding to the internal network for no apparent reason - all the link are up but it simply rejects data packets for some reason. Power cycle fixes it. Usually we can go for weeks at a time without problems, but sometimes we get a spate of issues in the course of 2-3 days.

None.

That's exactly my case.

Lord of the Locker Room

Hmmm. Is it the DNS that "crashes"? I get this very rarely, but it's not wireless. Sometimes DNS just stops working; e.g. vent and stuff still work but websites just randomly won't connect anymore. I'm pretty sure this is unrelated.

Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.
