Hello

Members online today... I brought it back once, yet it was slowing down the loading time, so it got removed.
Maybe... I find an alternative.

Not to offend anyone, but if all these things are slowing down the server, then they are some terrible code. Things like that shouldn't be slowing the site down.

Sure was nice to have my name on a white background and be able to warn people.

Hello

Cecil, I do not own the server nor do I know it's stats. However, I implemented it as easy as possible, only fetching what was necesarry and yet the loading time slightly increased, not that much though.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

Did sen v2 ever exist or was it just to ugly to release?

Good to see that you guys are contributing. :)

I would still like to see an alternate take or two on the site's history (preferably from an older member) so that it's more than just my version.

Hello

I guess this would get a FaQ entry if there will ever be a text about the history of SEN ^^

A Members-Online feature would be very nice... I was looking for it today and it struck me how SEN doesn't even have it :s

Not even 'Members Online Today' or 'In the past 48 hours'... how about just list the Members who are currently online, or have posted in the last 15 minutes?

Wrong thread + this feature already exists.

Btw, when GalaxyWiki.Net gets out, it deserves its place in SEN's Time Line.

Hello

Ya, look at the forum index. Also, if you want to know who was online today go to members and sort by last active.

You sure SEN was founded in 2003? I remembered being on SEN before the World Trade Center event...
At the very least I was definitely at SEN when I was in Grade 8, before June 2003.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong? But I don't think I'm wrong...

I remember joining during patch ~1.09, after Moose, Chu, and SP. Floating drones and templar were common then.

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

I was under that same impression for a while, as well, but I was misremembering because I spent so much time at the TeamSE site and the mass migration from that site to SEN is blurred.

http://www.staredit.net/?faq=13 may help.

It was one of the summer months in 2003, I remember it crystal clear. SEN had a completely different look and feel to it. I joined in Sep 2004.

Wait, can you briefly explain TeamSE? I don't remember what it was and It may have been that...

Apr 30 2011, 5:09 am DevliN Post #115

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

TeamSE was Heimdal's site where a lot of us (DrunkenWrestlet, Matrix, Tuxlar, Chuiu, Bolt_Head, etc.) were at prior to any dedicated custom map community being developed as he was developing StarForge. http://teamse.x-boxnight.com/ was the site. http://replay.web.archive.org/20030803224303/http://teamse.x-boxnight.com/ may refresh your memory.

Based on that archive, though, it seems like the site was started in April 03, so it was only a few months before everyone came here. I remember it being longer. Ugh.

July 11, 2003. There used to be a time when everyone just knew this.

TeamSE went down permanently sometime in spring of 2004. I had a brief membership there before I followed everyone else to SEN.

Nice history work Doodan. I think I remember seeing you around when you first arrived.

I recall being a GMod on SEN when OSMAP was released.

How are the registration dates on older members known? I thought SEN displays registration dates for v5. I look at mine and it says I registered in '07, but I look at the timeline and remember being on SEN as long ago as '0 or '06.

I miss those days when life was a lot easier.
