Back* from the grave

Yes/Yes. Also, I'd like to repeat a previous complaint:

Quote from poison_us
The "site" dropdown now renders behind the "contact" box, leading to some problems clicking on certain links in the dropdown.

Now with picture:

Mousing down to "games" puts you over "contact", and when this happens SEN prefers the contact over the dropdown, and closes the dropdown.

Same thing has been happening to me after the update yesterday. Also, it still wont remember any of my collapsed box settings, so I wonder if IP maybe uploaded conflicting javascript or something that might have messed up DJC's?

EDIT:
I just realized that the "+" in "Line" code works until 100 and breaks at 101+ in the OP disappeared. I tried to recreate that link and it shows up fine. That's odd.

The bug with [line=#px] is that it reads [line=100px] as [line=100%], not that it breaks at 101+. I should've explicitly stated that above 100px still works, but I thought that the code [line=120px], which I included in that post, thoroughly proved that :|

Code
[line=50px]
[line=100px]
[line=200px]

EDIT: Oh, wait, I found where I explicitly stated such:

It's just at 100px. For example, 400px:

So, basically, would I have to use some other measure if I were to want a 100 pixel line, or can you fix it without too much effort? If the latter is the case, then don't worry. 99 or 101 is close enough nobody would notice.

Because David's list is a to-do list of things that he will fix, or at least has some control of. Your list is a bunch of suggested features and bugs that you cannot fix yourself.
Makes complete sense. However, I believe all of my requests should be listed. Any possibility that you could just do something like "For additional minor stuff to fix, see: http://www.staredit.net/266860/ " ?

EDIT: Oh, and it looks like the "direct post links" doesn't work anymore?! Possible bug-source: in my settings, I have maxed out the number of posts displayed per page.

wth is starcraft

Shoutbox, when set to auto-refresh, while I was starting a topic in Null in a different tab, at about 2:08PM:

Quote
MySQL Error '2006': MySQL server has gone away

I didn't mean to scare off the MySQL server :(

Back* from the grave

Searching "time zone" on just the StarEdit Network forum takes an obscenely long amount of time to return:

A Staredit Network error has occured:
MySQL Error '2006': MySQL server has gone away
Query failed: SELECT * FROM sessions WHERE s_ip='198.30.146.68' AND s_id='e50ca0363a3740d1251e6ed43c0c3932' LIMIT 1

In addition, I know I made a post complaining about having to change the time zones manually once, way back when, but I can't find it (convenient that the search is broke, huh :|). I have it set as -5 right now, to display the correct times, when I know that EST is GMT-4.

Okay, reworded. I was quickly scanning 35 pages of this topic to see what was a bug, a suggestion, and what has been fixed. :P

I only added requests and bugs from your list that I felt needed to be added to the actual list. And no, I'm not going to link to your post if I'm already going to list whatever should be fixed or added in the original post here.

Don't know if this is intentional, but the notice for winning the raffle is gone. I looked at my profile and had to figure out where a random +100ish minerals came from.

As for remembering collapse states of the Forum Index... I thought I fixed that in Turtle... Or do you mean another skin? What browser are you using?
Lol. Just because I gave up reporting it doesn't mean it's fixed. :P
Not entirely apparently. Afaik it works in every skin except Turtle. Got FF 3.6.12.
Found the problem. My new Collapse system (which Turtle's forum index uses) attempts to write to its cookie without first checking if that cookie exists. This should be fixed by adding the following lines to the start of the function SEN.GUI.Collapse.init (Line ~138) in /support/global.js.
Code
                      if (!SEN.getCookie("jcollapsed"))
                         SEN.setCookie("jcollapsed","")

This will fix collapse memory for any skin that uses my new Collapse system (which, again, should only be Turtle for now, unless someone is working on a skin based on Turtle).

My new Collapse system uses the cookie "jcollapsed", whereas the old Collapse system uses "collapse" (or was it collapsed"?). It's not a cookie conflict -- or it shouldn't be, anyway. I left the old Collapse system in place (since other skins, as well as much of the site, were using it).

I may have found something, though. Try changing Line 1196 of /support/global.js from this:
Code
  if (temp = SEN.getCookie('collapsed'))

to this:
Code
  if (temp = SEN.getCookie('collapsed').replace(/;[^\b]*$/,""))

and see if that helps. (A PHP session ID appears to be embedded at the end of the cookie, delimited by a semicolon. That could be breaking the old collapse functionality; this new fix uses a regex to filter the session ID out.)

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

Clicking on "Starcraft 2 Maps" in the SC2 DLDB ("Staredit Network » Starcraft 2 Maps") brings you to http://www.staredit.net/sc2_database/ which doesn't exist.

Also, you can't access the SC1 DLDB apparently, even if you can see both the SC1 and SC2 forums. I think the SC1 and SC2 button system should have a complete overhaul if possible. We have too many people asking in the shoutbox if we got rid of the SC1 forums.

EDIT:
Also, the first link in a "collapse" box will not link without a url tag.

Testing

Hello

We should rather make the buttons more visible, there is no way of doing sc1 and sc2 dldb in one, but if you mean like "display sc1 and sc2 maps database links in the nav"... well I'm against that, this makes the sc1/2 buttons 99% pointless.

Please report errors in the Staredit.Network forum.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

He means for the forums. There's several suggestions about how buttons should work in another topic.

My personal favorite is by default display all content, then when you click one of the filter buttons (e.g. sc1) it hides the content you didn't press on (sc2). When you then press the other button (sc2) it hides the first content (sc1).
If you press a button that's already pressed it removes the filter showing both sc1 and sc2 content again.

Alternatively make it clear it's filter buttons and name it Hide sc1 / Hide sc2, basically swapping the functions of the buttons in the above recommendation.

Right, exactly. Devourer once told me this system would take a while to do based on how the site is coded, but I honestly think it would be worth it in the long run.

My point about the DLDB is that I can't see the SC1 DLDB at all despite having the option active to view both SC1 and SC2 content, so there should be a way to access it. What if "Files" was a menu with "SC1" and "SC2" as options?

Yeah, it was changed to reflect what DJC thought would fix it. Now it's just having the same issue it was before. I may just go look at the code for Turtle and Epic and try to mimic how it is done in those.
