Costs about 13 bucks, and is totally worth it. Basically its an open sandbox game where you mine.... and craft. It's surprisingly addictive. It's basically like playing with legos, fire, water, and livestock all at the same time.

Apparently you need a super powerful computer to host it so sadly I won't be able to. But there are hundreds of servers that you can join.

If you've bought the game and would like to play with me and some other people tell me your AIM/Yahoo/MSN/Steam/Skype or message me on IRC.

I'm working on a huge underwater complex and submarines right now :)

When Notch makes it so that you can make even more mechanical things. And maybe even 1/4 blocks. I really wish you could build real vehicles.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

Building a computer inside a computer game.

Anyone know anyone who talks like this and isn't a nerd? (Is rudy a nerd?)

Also, holy crap:
930643 registered users, of which 269504 (28.95%) have bought the game.
This game has made $3,646,659.97 revenue off a pre-beta game that in all honesty has terrible graphics in only 1 year.

I bought this yesterday and played it for about 8 hours. I skipped 3 classes and didn't study for my exam last night because of this. When you have a few friends you're collaborating with on the full game, it's wayyy to addicting.

Don't play the full version unless you have a LOT of free time, this will run your life for a while if you're into this sort of thing.

:payne:

I think Swampfox quitted SEN for this game (no kidding).
I'm not sure I understand its principle... is it simply about creating your own lego-world? >_>
What's so addictive about it?
Why is there multi-player on this?

... and ... lol @Merrell! >.<

Praetor

Played the free version a lot, is a buncha fun.

Blocks like stair blocks or pressure pads allow for seamless travel between a block that is one space higher or lower without jumping. Not to mention other specific blocks would obviously come out if a land vehicle did show up. Probably a wedge shaped block for actual ramps and stuff.

This game is only good if you play the non classic multiplayer. I have Alpha 1.1.2 and fuck I rage so hard in single player. Between getting lost and dying, no Matter what I do I always lose end up losing all of my work. I found a cliff that was pretty much the same thing as that famous part from lion king. It had a cave in it and a water fall and you could see like .... everything from up there. I didn't bother to make any bases before hand to search for epic landscapes so at night I was just fight off zombies and skeletons and such so at the time I only had 1 heart life.

I was building my fucking log cabin when at night a zombie spawned inside my cabin and raped me. I lost everything. I had so much coal and steel from roaming.

Protip: the best way to get coal is to just roam above ground and look at elevated stone blocks. You can almost always find Coal and half the times steel. I always have 64 torches before the first night. Feels good.

I share your pain, my grades are hurting because this game is too addictive.

It may not seem addictive or fun by just talking about it, it's something you actually have to play to understand the true nature of its clutches.

My friends were speaking of this game, I'm curious, is it dialup compatible? Could I play the single player without having to connect to the internet any more than sc2 would?

Play the online classic mode. It works on my dialup but someone once said you have like 2/kb instead of at least 5/kb. I think 5/kb is what dialup is at. You can play offline with the free but lame version or you could pre order and play the alpha offline (added features).

Unless you play multiplayer this game has no point.
