I'd been intrigued by these movies and all the references I hear from it, or used to back when it was cool :bleh: . So I saw the original last year, and the second one just today, and thoroughly enjoyed it. But then I check the reviews for them, and I simply cannot understand why it had all bad reviews. I mean, I thought the first one was absolute gold (the second one lacking a bit in the department of making some damn sense), but reviewers didn't seem to think so. Hell, NONE of them did (according to metacritic).

So, my question is, why so critical? Who doesn't enjoy epic fight scenes involving porcelain toilets dropping 10 stories onto someone's face?

I dunno. First was amazing. Second was amazing. I had friends who left halfway through watching the second movie though, because they thought it was that bad. TBH, so did I, until the ending.

I dont see how anyone could think that the first movie was bad in the least. The second one, I can kinda understand, since it was kinda on-off for a lot of my friends.

Whaaat? I enjoyed both of them. The only part I hated in the second one where the parts that gave that old red head screen time. I disliked her character.

Of course the ending to the second one was fuck yea awesome. It hints at the possibility of a third movie and the fact that if the saints are released they are going to get more members or something and take it global. The comedy in the movie was the kind you could probably only enjoy with masculine friends and alcohol. The Rocko dream sequence was very memorable.

Truthfully I don't know why but I do enjoy these movies and to be honest looking at them from the out side they really don't seem that great. It's something about them that makes me really enjoy them. I try to get my friends into them for for every 1 person that I can get to like them 10 more think it's stupid.

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

I think most of the bad reviews come from people who watched "Overnight," the documentary about the writer/director of "Boondock Saints." He thought "Boondock Saints" was the second coming of Christ, and had the biggest ego of anyone I've every seen. I think a lot of biased reviews came about after that documentary was released.

The first one was a stupid but fun one-time-watch. Haven't seen the second one.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of Westernhagen either, Fanta vier much better! But they didn't drop the lyrics that fit the situation. Farty: Ich bin wieder hier; nobody: in meinem Revier; Me: war nie wirklich weg
