They look okay I guess but why are we adding MORE images, instead of removing them so SEN loads faster and uses less bandwidth etc?
Because there was a pretty clever guy, who invented browser caches.

And because I need images to make. Although it seems like SEN doesn't really need my help? I can't tell :P

Why not something based on these, but not as unsatisfyingly minimalist?

Come to think of it, I shoulda added a black outline. Meh, they're just a suggestion for a starting point.

Those fit nicely into the SEN theme, David.
But whip out icons for edit, delete and report too, and we're set. ;)

I like David's.

David you should add some sort of simple 1 line border to those, like you said, maybe black. If not, then a light yellow would look nice.

What should be made next?

Already done, just isn't released yet. My default skin has been stuck as Carbonite for 2 weeks now. :D

Relatively ancient and inactive

I don't like gloss, I'd rather go with what David did than what Cecil did. I believe David also removed the gloss from v5 to get the forum images working properly, so this isn't a glossy skin.

And your space-image of SEN isn't great; the planets have no atmosphere, and though I like the stars (not a simple noise, at least), the space-clouds look very bad. I shouldn't be able to see it and say "Hay, he used photoshop cloud filter!".

Just criticizin'. Hope you make something nice for SEN. :)

Could you do a pencil sketch of a guy with angel wings bursting out from a backpack he is wearing?. It will be used for something.

Why are these still not being used :-_-:

Because flat, polygonal icons will look bad on a non-flat interface. At the very least, they need borders to fit in. And the hexagonal shape won't look as good as the current circular icons.

Huh? The interface seems pretty flat to me, and I don't think circles fit in at all. I do however think the icons look slightly bland. I think reflecting light on the surface of the icons with a slight indented border would look very nice though.

Those should definitely be implemented.

That works quite nicely, yes. :)

Implementation would be a matter of Dev or I uploading the files, though I don't know whether those icons in particular are global or per-skin. I still need to dust off my FTP client and see if it works (I copied and pasted the install to a new computer to keep the settings, rather than reinstalling), so maybe I'll upload them if Dev approves and if I'm able to.

I see them fitting Epic pretty nicely.
For Turtle, I don't know... maybe the green should be darker?
For Maplantis, probably won't look great. ;o

I'm using turtle right now, and I think they'd look great on turtle.

I can send you or Devourer the individual PNG files for them if need be (unless you want to just cut them out of that image), but I say we use 'em.
