That's why I didn't say it was $50. You're not always guaranteed the rebate. Often times you forget about sending it in, or forget about checking to see the status of it, and the company never sends it back to you. It's a really good way for companies to liquidate their old stock without losing too much money, especially considering if you don't do it exactly as they say, they don't have to send you any money. You really have to work for a mail in rebate.
