[SOLVED] Darkness of Fog of war

The current fog of war is very light, and sometimes I get confused if I have vision of that area or not. Is there a way to make the fog darker.
Also, how do I change the sun's position? (I noticed the shadow or a ghost on a hill..) Is it possible to remove shadows? My problem is an enemy player may see the shadow of a unit and know that that particular hill is taken/guarded heavily or lightly; this unit will be our of range of enemy units but still be able to scout.

For the fog of war, if you need it just a bit darker, go to Modules->Data, and select Fog of War from the drop down box. Select Grey Mask and change the color from the dark dark blue to black. This will result in a slightly darker color, but not pitch black. If you want black, go to Map->Mao Options, and change the "Unexplored Areas" drop down box to Black Mask. This will result in an almost pitch black fog of war. (Which can be made even slightly darker by following the steps above, but selecting Black Mask instead of Grey Mask. Just remember you need to select whichever you wish to use from the Map Options dialog.)

As far as shadows go, I am very curious on this as to performance related areas, but I haven't found a way to just disable shadows. However, under the Environment section in the Trigger Editor, you can select "Environment - Set lighting to No Light, blending over 0.0 seconds". This will turn off all dynamic lights in the game and render from only an ambient overhead light. Sometimes shadows will not appear at all, sometimes they will but will be directly underneath the unit. It seems very glitchy, but it does work. However, this will make your map colors look a little different.

Theoretically, you could probably play with the trigger "Environment - Set time of day to hh:dd:ss" to set the light source (sun) directly over head, and create a repeating trigger (every 5 seconds or so should work fine) to reset it to that same value. However, off the top of my head I don't know which time value will set it directly overhead. This would give you a straight under the unit shadow, but wont result in any funky colors from the above method.

EDIT: There is also a trigger action called "Pause/Unpause Time of Day". If you can find the time value, just pause the time, and you wont have to worry about any repeating triggers.

For anyone else who want to do this, be sure that "show default values" is the only button pressed down, else you won't be able to change the color.
