Heh, how do you get a unit to stay burrowed?
I placed a player 9 drone with invincible and burrowed properties checked.
Unfortunately when viewing my map, it was unburrowed when I got there. Suggestions?

Did the player have burrow researched?

None.

That isn't the solution. Comps don't need the tech to unburrow.

You cannot rly prevent it. Maybe there is an ai script which will make the unburrow more unlikely.

But if its possible in your map give it to P12 to ensure it stays underground.

Not sure if this is at all accurate, but I thought the unit that is placed as burrowed in the editor has to be owned by a player that has Burrow researched. Immediately after you can give the unit to a different player with Burrow disabled by default, and it will not be able to unburrow... it worked for my maps anyway.

Try it with player 8...

Also if you want to keep it burrowed just have it be player 12 or make the computer ally any force that comes into contact with it.

Keep in mind that players 9-11 will not attack (or unburrow?) unless attacked upon. Just in case if you are in need for more players.

Zergs automatically burrow as long as no enemies are nearby and it is researched.

Thanks guys, but someone mark this as resolved. Silly me, I forgot to check the research status. :)

sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
