http://www.staredit.net/starcraft2maps/

Redid how some of the data is stored, erased maps, attempting to launch the script for an initial trial.
This means:
* I might have to erase the database, but I'm hoping not.
* Looking for bugs, but I don't want you to intentionally try to break the script yet. Still placing error checking and such. Doing things normally should not yield bugs.

Not all data is displayed perfectly, but is there and ready to be used. I am working on that now, such as, map stats and authors.

Couple of things I need feedback on. This script is for you, so help make it perfect.
The intention is to be a complete development area (so much so, that I may just get rid of maps in production forum as it will be redundant, we'll see).

* Teaser / Trailers... does SEN still do these? I was thinking of offering direct support for them in the project page.
* Adding polls to projects? y/n
* Adding custom pages to projects? y/n. Here I'm thinking you could maybe add secondary pages such as how to play the map/tips or etc, things you might want to keep off the main page.
* An update 'blog' where you can post related progress updates to your file? I WILL NEED ANOTHER NAME OTHER THAN BLOG THOUGH :stfu:
* Anything else we need?

The picture of the map terrain used as a thumbnail on the Browse area should be the default map image, replaceable by the mapmaker.

Red classic.

Stylistically, there are several problems... Several buttons have darker background colors than their surroundings, which is aesthetically unpleasant because the human eye perceives darker objects as receding, and ideally buttons should "protrude" from the page. "No Uploaded Images" looks weird because it's positioned vertically off-center. The file page has two near-identical boxes that say the exact same thing (that payne created the map). Above that, we have several property-value pairs, but the properties aren't aligned together (because they're just plain text with BRs).

Such a rip off! D=
Anyways, IP, would you mind re-posting the "big" list I had made? Or you have just deleted it? :(
My main point would be that it is very annoying to have to wait for the page to reload for whatever button we press.
Also, where is the "by:" that was there before the official release?

Moreover, there's no way we can actually return to the main page of our file once we have updated the 'Informations'. And the 'Report' button doesn't seems to work.
Jack, you uploaded the [Multi] ver, I'll replace it with the [Solo], it's more polished.

EDIT: Oh! And some pages missed the bottom-border of the top-most cadre (see: http://www.staredit.net/starcraft2maps/area=files&sub=projects&id=2).
When we click in the quick-research field, it actually see its size reduced.
The name of the map should be a link to download too.
I activated the 'quick download' thingy, but there still isn't any.

I think that's it for now. :P

EDIT: And when we upload a map, we should directly be redirected to the 'Information' edit page of the map.
As soon as a file is uploaded, set the thumbnail as a picture too.

Done.

What skin?

Fixed.

The file page has two near-identical boxes that say the exact same thing (that payne created the map).
What a map is uploaded into a project, it gets the author field from the map and inserts it as an author if it doesn't exist currently. So whoever added payne as a sen author forgot to take off the text 'payne' as an author.
It will be an annoyance that will have to be fixed by whoever uploads / edits the projects.

I temporarily disabled ajax, it might end up being a user setting.

Replaced entirely by auto-insertion into the author data.

Fixed.

Favorites and report is coming soon. Obviously it is just a placeholder for the actual form ^^.

Not sure what this even means.

Nah...

I activated the 'quick download' thingy, but there still isn't any.
I have yet to code the multi-file support of quick download. It will only currently exist if there is 1 single active file in the project. You can also manually choose 1 file to be a quick download file.

And when we upload a map, we should directly be redirected to the 'Information' edit page of the map.
If you do a 'simple upload', it's more of an upload and forget function (which is why it gets the pseudo project status).

Quote from payne

Fixed as a temporary image until more get uploaded.

* Adding polls to projects? y/n What would be the reason for this decision besides the obvious, "Should I complete this project?"
* Adding custom pages to projects? y/n. Here I'm thinking you could maybe add secondary pages such as how to play the map/tips or etc, things you might want to keep off the main page. Awesome idea.

I've replaced the thumbnail with an image. Is it normal that it isn't considered as an image?
Also, any comments I post, I get an error message (though it still posts the comment).

EDIT: Also, the scrolling in the image galleries is buggy sometimes.
http://www.staredit.net/starcraft2maps/2-Impossible-One
Try to scroll like a mad person and you'll see things that probably shouldn't happen ;o

Also, what I've meant by the "bottom border of cadre":

EDIT: http://www.staredit.net/starcraft2maps/5.Unit%20Tester
http://www.staredit.net/starcraft2maps/6.Riley's%20Micro%20Olympics
The thumbnail generated by the script is too large and the "No uploaded image" stacks with other text.

Regarding payne's screenshot, this'll fix the oddity in Firefox, though it'll still look weird if the map title is short.

ul.sc2map_filenav{background:#19411B;border:0 solid #000;border-width:0 1px}

Note that it will only work if you remove the (pointless) display:inline setting from the UL. (All that property does is prevent the UL itself from expanding to fill the width of its parent. Neither that property nor its removal from the UL affect the positioning or sizing of the LIs.)

:payne:

I cannot upload a new version of one of my files. I get a "Array [0] => [565]" (or something like that) error.
And the comments is "Array [0] => [557]".
Also, when I am subscribed to a map and I post a comment to it, I get a notice that a new comment has been posted. Somehow useless? :P

Somehow, even if you show the number of 'humans' in the main page of every map file, it looks like you failed to copy the variable in the browse-page. ;o

EDIT: And for the file update, we need the same thing as in our sc1 DLDB: a "Last Update" date in a flashy color.
