Hack or Not?

Ok, some guy in-game did something REALLY fucked up. 10 stacked SCVs came in and destroyed everying in my base. I don't know if I should be completely outraged at a hacker, or just accept defeat by a guy who figured out a useful glitch.

The sword and the faith

Everyone knows you can stack workers. This isn't a hack, he just has some nice micro.

:wut: I didn't know you could move them while stacked... well, I guess I accept defeat from a good player.
``EDIT``
How DO you do that anyways?

...it seems rather impossible to me. Sure, I could attempt it, but if you don't have mineral patches in the right places to target and keep your stack going, I don't think you can do it. There were a couple times in there when he made moves that weren't possible - there were no mineral stacks in the directions he was moving.

Perhaps it was a hack?

It's not a hack. Shift click on gas 5-8 times, shift click the thing that you want to attack once. Done.

Thanks, I'll gove it a shot :D
``EDIT``
I tried, but it didn't work. Your instructions were't very clear, could someone else please help?

Hold shift.
Select all of your units.
Right click the geyser 6 times.
Right click whatever you want to attack.
Release shift.
Watch the carnage.

I decided to record an example of this on iCCup.
Yes, I went out of my way JUST to prove a point.

Definitely not a hack, but not really practical either because you have to do it all over again to retarget. I think there was a hack however that made it very simple.

Thanks, but it just isn't working out :/ It keeps saying the waypoint is full and when I hold shift, they don't even move, they just stand there.

SDE, BWAPI owner, hacker.

It seems people still don't understand how to execute this glitch (or trick depending on different views). Specifically, the targetting of the Vespene Geyser.

Right click a Vespene Geyser, hold Shift for the rest of the instructions, right click the same Vespene Geyser(before a worker touches it), queue commands. (That's only 2 geyser clicks)
You can queue attack move and not have to worry about redoing it for every target, or queue every target yourself.

I'll give it another shot.

Did anyone else read the dialogue in game? Lmao.

In regards to the thread: When trying to do the worker stack glitch/trick here's what I do:
  • Select all workers
  • Hold down shift (and keep holding it down)
  • Right click a geyser a few times (5-6)
  • A + click whatever I want to target

Thanks for all the guides, NT and everyone else who posted. =/

I refrained from mentioning said dialogue because I didn't want to offend anyone by a display of extremely loud, rude laughter.

Me doing the SCV stack trick. This video has less jumpiness and has sound.
Unfortunately, however, the sound gets somewhat out of sync at the end.

Oh, I'm glad someone did it correctly with the minimum amount of actions.
