I got this error message:

How do I fix this? Yes, I downloaded the opt-in thing for the beta, I installed SCII Beta, I tried checking for updates and patches... I don't know what else to try...

None.

I order you to forgive yourself!

Any possibility that a firewall is blocking? Not sure if it could be related.

I'm not sure why a firewall would be blocking it, I haven't even attempted to go onto b.net with it yet.

But if that is it, I'm screwed, I have no idea how to adjust a firewall and probably can't since I'm on a college campus.

I got the exact same problem the second time I tried to install sc2. No firewalls are on, and the laptop is up to date. The only way I can think of this occurring in the first place is that my download kept stopping because of lost internet, firewall blocks at first, and I heard the PC Error noise at least twice, yet, nothing showed up.

Edit: After running sc2 again, and waiting for a newer patch to download, I was able to finally play sc2, and lose my first match.

Try this

Quote
-Open Internet Explorer
-Go in the "Tools" Menu (its on the top bar)
-In the drop down menu, Select "Internet Options"
-Select the "Connections" Tab
-click on "LAN Settings" (its a button at the bottom)
-UNCHECK the box that has "Proxy Server" enabled.
-Press Ok.
Might be some more about it in the topic I got it from as well:

O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- below the minimap should be a thing that says "Overlay Settings" with a little + button in the corner, press the + to expand it, uncheck Use Defaults, then change "Tile Overlay" to "Height"

Sylph-Of-Space -- It would be so so so nice if SCMDraft had some kind of dedicated "walkability" view for the tilesets.
