If people on this site are actually interested.

http://www.sc2mapster.com/announcements/official-galaxy-editor/

Apparently there is a feature to import legacy maps (scm, scx, w3m, w3x)

:uberw00t: I seizure in joy at the thought of this prospect being true, as for people saying its fake; I wouldn't put it past blizzard for having it on the patch server already considering its being (Apparently) released next patch...

Relatively ancient and inactive

Looks like a modified WCIII editor. Or just photoshopped.

WAAAAIT. Is that icon on the taskbar for it... A GREEN DARK ARCHON? :awesome:

Especially since it seems to be called "StarCraft II Editor."

This is fake, I bet. We'll see the real one in about a week, anyway.

It's actually not a fake, patch was grabbed earlier today. There will be a youtube video and/or livestream soon.

And the editor will probably be available tomorrow or Friday.

In it's current incarnation it's very very similar to World Edit.

Also, keep refreshing http://www.sc2mapster.com/ for more screenshots

If it's real, it looks awful.

Legacy Conversion seems to be limited, but yeah, this was a test done by Maged.

the editor itself does seem mad ugly and i dunno the video isn't completely convincing but sc2mapster seems like a source to trust considering their contributions to mapping already before the editor is even out  unless they made a badass (in comparison) GUI version of milyway editor...

edit: pretty cool even if not the real galaxy editor video in the same youtube account as those ones, posted 11 minutes ago; seems more convincing and pretty quick to work with for the basic user

It's not fake, i've been using it for hours. I'm the one that made the thread and all the videos. Maged took most of the screenies for me.

If you don't believe the videos or the screenshots then there's no proving it to you. But GalaxyEdit is just an updated WorldEdit. They have the same look and feel.

Because it is a modified WCIII editor... -duh

Haha yeah the blurry screeny surely looks like it but the bottommost shows that it's a green globe or something similar.

Where'd you get the editor from, then?

EDIT:
And again, why is it called "StarCraft II Editor" in those screenshots?
