Need a Stationary Non-attacking Unit

Hi, for my map, when a player burrows his zergling, he gets an uraj crystal that periodically launches scarabs. I have the scarab part working, however I need enemy units to be able to pass through without there being a mass of crystals to navigate around, potentially causing walls. I need a sentry unit that can be walked over. It needs to be a ground unit as well. Spider Mines will not work, since they'll uproot and attack. Anyone have any idea?

P12 spider mines.

I'm using 4 computers and 4 players, one computer for one player. I need to be able to differentiate which mines belong to which player, since it's separate.

Okay, then use different players, 9-12.

Do you need it to be visible by enemy player(s)? Do you need it to be visible by the player who created it?

Options:
-A static scarab (disabled).
-A P12 spider mine.
-A sprite.

What about using some sort of air unit, or death affect? I mean, you just need something to mark that there is a location spawning scarabs, right? You could use one of those two, or maybe set a distance limit between crystals?

A sprite would actually be perfect.

EDIT: Wait, can I create a sprite?

Nope, sprites have to be preplaced, with a maximum of 499 sprites preplaceable.

You probably didn't know this, but spider mines owned by players 9-11 will attack any player or computer controlled units.

How about using p12 spider mine with a hidden neutral burrowed unit under it. You can use a different burrowed unit for each player or use one burrowed unit and give them to players 9-12. Center a location on the desired unit whenever you want to perform an action with it.

Only problem with that is that I think P12 burrowed units are visible, that's why you can see people's units when they leave. Not sure if that's true about preplaced ones though.

It's different for preplaced.

This is definitely not the case. As long as the unit is natively owned by player 12, it is not visible.

lulz.

Alternatively, an air unit would work just as well. In fact, I'd be inclined to do that rather than use any burrowed unit or spider mine combo, because it's simpler.

SDE, BWAPI owner, hacker.

You can place the powerup as a sprite-unit with the disabled property checked. Instead of creating/removing them each time, move them to a "reserve" outside of the playing field and give them to p12. When you want to use it, just move it and give it to the current player. When it's finished, just move it back and give it to the neutral player.

UndeadStar -- I wonder if that's what happened to me. A returned product (screen) was "officially lost" for a while before being found and refunded. Maybe it would have remained "lost" if I didn't communicate?

NudeRaider -- PSA: ASUS apparently decided their RMA department needs to "become profitable" and for a while now outright tries to scam customers. They were called out on it a year ago, promised to change, but didn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pMrssIrKcY so my recommendation: Stop buying ASUS, and if you already have and need something RMA'd, make sure to not let them bully you into paying.
