Cataclym's End: War of the Old Races

Basic Backstory:
Set in a fictional, unnamed galaxy, there are five major species. After nearly five centuries of cooperative, galactic democracy, war began. Now, the five alien races are sending their best and their brightest to Cataclysm's End, a very resource-rich area that little is known about.

Part 1: Races, Racial Abilities & Units, and Basic Gameplay:
There are five races that will be battling each other. They are:
The Silenti
The Torr
The Lerga
The Noss'tai
The Corutai
Alien Incumbents (A.I.)
Each Race starts with some standard fighters and Light Assault Craft. Every commands a standard Mothership, sans the Lerga, whose Mothership is especially powerful. Each individual race also commands special abilities and powers* which can be activated at high resource cost to win battles. Below, you can see the special abilities and units of each race.
Silenti
The Silenti:
- A. Special Weapon: Silenti Laser: The Silenti Laser is much more powerful than the Graviton Laser, cutting through most capital ships.
- B. Other Special Race Attributes: Hero: Tom. Free Wraith Hero is given to this race.
The Torr
II. The Torr
- A. Special Weapon: Translocation: Teleports all of the Torrian Commander's units and his or her Mothership to a movable Translocation Beacon. The gravitational pulls needed to open the Warp gate cause nearly all enemy vessels that are caught nearby to gravitate towards the starting area (Point A), following their quick demise when the Translocation is completed (When all units are moved to Point B). Drains fuel when activated.
- B. Other Special Race Attributes: When the Torr Captain is at the helm of the ship, the player only needs one-half the normal number of gunners to accomplish and use special abilities.
The Lerga Mindnet
III. The Lerga
- A. Special Weapon: Lerga Drone Swarm: Normal Automated Drones are cheap, quick to produce, and effective. A Lerga Drone Swarm, however, is very hard to Counter. With Double the HP of a normal Drone, these Drones spawn much quicker and swarm their targets with tremendous force. Drains Fuel while active, and lasts until canceled or all fuel is depleted.
- B. Other Special Race Attributes: The Lergan Captain is a Cerebrate, who operates as one of the Council of Twenty of the Mindnet. As a result, he is immobile within his ship, and unable to defend himself. Also, all Boarding Crews Contain Lergan Native Units, who are slightly stronger.
The Noss'tai
IV. The Noss'tai
- A. Special Ability: Call of the Ancestors: The Noss'tai, once the same race as the Coru'tai, have very mystic and ancestral bonds. Call of the Ancestors awakens two strong Ancestors from the nether-realm in order to bring aid to the Great Race. Drains fuel while channeled. If channeled long enough, three ancestors will be summoned every second, instead of two, at a slightly higher cost. Lasts until fuel is depleted or canceled.
- B. Other Special Race Attributes: The Noss'tai have special Access to Arbiters, granting their fleets mobile cloaking fields. Lastly, Their Standard Fighters (Wraiths) are granted the ability to cloak.
The Coru'tai
The Coru'tai
- A. Special Ability: Holistic Cleansing: The Coru'tai, who were once the same race as the Noss'tai, also have very mystic and ancestral bonds. Holistic Cleansing heals all friendly units (Mothership included) around the Mothership to 100%. Additionally, for every second after the initial cleansing, 4 enemy ships within range will be picked off, one by one (some capital ships excluded; they will be damaged, however). Extremely Fuel intensive.
- B. Other Special Race Attributes: The Coru'tai, in addition to standard space marines and squad captains, have Coru'tai warriors on their boarding crews.
Resident Aliens
- Alien A.I. Special: Classified. (used only on Co-Op mode)(Work in progress)+
- Other Misc Info: Grows Increasingly aggressive over time. Gains resources through a regular convoy that patrols through this sector of space.
Basic Gameplay
Basic Gameplay will revolve around creating/upgrading starships and maneuvering your Mothership to strategic locations. The Ultimate goal is to defeat all enemy Motherships, or in co-op mode--defeat the resident aliens.
Resources are gained through multiple avenues:
- Standard Mining (Rather limited; Ore and Gas)
- Mining Asteroids (Minerals)
- Standard Ship Reactor (Baseline income)
- Building Engineers (Gas)
- Parking yourself at a Trading Post
- Killing the Alien Resources Convoy
They are spent on ships, upgrades, repairs, and special abilities*. The Reference Section will go into great detail on units and abilities.
There are also multiple ways to achieve victory:

Thanks! I"ll be def hitting you guys up later for sure. I've been doing some solo testing, and much to my dismay, some triggers aren't working as intended. I'll be compiling a list shortly of things to test solo for each player, and then once I get those kinks worked out, we'll see what happens with multiple players. It'll be a slow day at work, so I uploaded SC + SCM Draft to a flash drive (lol) and will be online in a little bit.
