Hey, just wanted to throw it in there that I am getting into LoL, too; goo Anivia! We should make a SEN team sometime.
My account on LoL is Envix if any of you are so bold as to friend me, but note that I am still only lvl 13 or so.

And since I do feel obligated to mention it since it said not to, LoL =? HoN for me. I've never played HoN, and I'm not super motivated since I have fun lots of fun playing LoL

HoN is better and there are so many more people at SEN playing HoN.

His response doesn't even make any sense. He didn't even attempt to refute the statement, it was basically just saying "You're right, BUT YOU SUCK, LOL LOL I ROCK."

He was acknowledging the fact that he was right, but defending himself (defensively, of course) by pointing out that it doesnt change anything.

I play LoL, and although i could so play HoN, i dont see any difference atm except theirs denying, which seems legit, but in a game with denying, support seems horribly UP. Unless they are able to do damage frequently, in which case why arent they carries?

Anyone wanna point out other relevant difference in LoL - HoN?

What? Support underpowered? That's completely ridiculous. Without good support you get owned in HoN.

I havent played hte game, i didnt expect that to be valid, but you didnt understand what i said.

If your constantly denying the support character, who also gets less exp, and the support char has to focus on either last hitting or denying, but doesnt have as much atck, wouldnt that make it effectively harder to lane as a support then anything else?

Support heroes have roughly the same attack power as carries. However, their skills don't scale as well in terms of attack.

Being support has nothing to do with your actual ability to kill creeps. Whether you're a good laner depends more on each hero's specific skill set and their autoattack power. Whether you are MELEE or RANGE also plays a big role. There are plenty of support heroes that are ridiculous laners. If anything it's the carries that suck at early game laning.

Demented Shaman and Hellbringer are two of the best laners in the game because they can harass enemy heroes well. They are both INT supports.

See, this is why I can never go back to HoN. Both of them are fuckin' killers. Not supports.

You pick Demented Shaman, and I'll pick Puppet Master, and we'll see who wins.

The only reason they're flaming you about HoN is because they dont have it in them to play LoL based off screen shots and lack of what they think makes the game.

Personaly I might come try LoL soon.

They both have one spell that scale with hero power or items into the game. Hellbringer+Life Void+Harkon's Blade can be a carry, and that's a fun pubstomp build, but good luck doing it against a competent team. Demented Shaman's arcane hide is the only thing that scales, but that can be cast on anyone, so that's a non issue as well.

Shaman gets a lot of kills early game if played wrong (they should be assisted for your carry) and has a huge INT gain so he can carry until midgame, at which point newbs who don't understand the game like to concede, but any real carry will quickly overshadow him in lategame.
