Adults don't have to same access to young people's lives as young people do. You can expect them to know little about us and worry about us.

Que Sera, Sera.

I know but they say emo is like a game, from what i've seen i dont know any hardcore emo people but im damn sure it's not a game for points.

That game is called "The internet".

The worst is when you have an emo 4chan user.

FOX reports: INTERNET HATE MACHINE DRESSES IN DARK COLOURS AND CUTS ITSELF.

I actually read the article on wikipedia about "emo music" and so I pretty much know how "emo" came to be. I am always called emo from the people our age but they just don't really know the definition of emo.

I write poetry, and it's generally morbid, but it's not because I am "emo" it's because I like to write poetry and it just so happens that writing morbid lyrics is easier for me then stuff like leaves falling in the autumn...

I write songs, they are generally pretty cruel, saddening and taking a perspective of the world people don't want to see, but that's the perspective in which I see and I feel like writing it...

I also write songs simply because I love singing, so, expressing myself? sure... but I think it's pretty easy to express yourself in modern society... Music, Sports, Art, Coding, Photography, Religion, Fashion, and obviously a ton more.

Mapping / modding is the best though ;)

When I first read the topic I thought, "Oh so ToA finally admits it."

Emos are sinners that will feel God's wrath.

 devilisk. Emo means something different to everybody. I know the emos that are sad, hate life, don't talk, and most likely cut themselves. But some people just conform, I know a kid who copied everything his best friend did. Some people may be rejected that every one else and feel comfort to be part of something. I conformed not to emo but another style for a short time and then i asked myself "wtf am i doing this for?" and now i just act like myself. My dad said he smoked weed in high school just because it was a fad. Emo is no different.

Emo is the atheist that still WANTS to believe in a god, but logic has control of their beliefs. I recently left emo and became atheist, because i stopped wanting to believe in a god. I lost hope. is that a sin, devilesk? i wouldn't know...

Wtf are you talking about. Emo is a style. Like Prep, or Punk. Not a religious standpoint.

"God's wrath" is social banishment from all that worship the so-called "god" or "gods."

...emo is more than a style, more than a religious standpoint, i find it one of the most complex kind of person on the world, next to avid religion-followers and avid atheists.

You honestly can't say that about everybody. First you have to understand emo. Which is why the topic need to be focused on the Cut-themselves emos or the attention whores which if you didn't know is now called a scene kid. OR... any other "type" of emo. I will ask before anybody continues that you judge things WHY they are done, not what they have done. (Example: Emos cut themselves) you can talk whatever you want about it but it will never make sense until you ask yourself why they cut themselves.

in a poll conducted by the government, most said that they cut themselves because it helps them to channel their thought processes, or something like that.

I remember it having something to do with people taking there problems and blaming themselves. Then punishing themselves by cutting themselves.
