Sorry, i got scout's eyes mixed up with the wards for the reveal within 200. But still, if you could courier eye, and take out 10 of their wards, you effectively make back your lost money, whereas with tree, he just uses mana, so you can never hurt the opponents economy by taking down his wards.

You hurt your own economy by wandering around to place wards as Tree. Not to mention the possibility of you getting ganked. As I said, any good team is going to have a Crow and Hatchet anyway, it just takes a bit of micro to 100% counter your map control for free.

Gem+Crow was actually used recently in a high level game, I think they may have patched it though or at least banned it from the leagues/tournaments.

I'm just going to ignore your posts, it will be easier in the long run for both of us because you'll never admit you don't have a clue about competitive metagame. Tree is probably one of the 5 worst heroes in the game right now.

I'm not doubting tree is not a good hero as is, but i'll alao say that he's not useless like you said before. In dota, tree was actually a good competitive hero imo, but he got mad nerfed when they replaced his living armor with that gay "I has a tree?!?!?!" skill that's basically worthless for him. He made a much better support hero when he could heal towers and other people, but where he is now, he's a sad cross between a support and a pseudo dps.

I do believe they patched crow + hatchet before they even patched crow + gem. Which is a shame because it was worthwhile to just have a bird follow you with an eye and spare tp for emergencies and have 6 items super late game.

I'm pretty sure crow+hatchet still works, I used it less than a week ago if I remember correctly. I'll test when I get home.

I can't find anything in the 5 most recent patch notes about courier changes... the QuC guys were the ones that got lamed by Crow+Gem a few weeks back, I definitely saw complaints about it on the forums.

tree's ultimate can be a team fight decider.

Tree is considered bad in comp play. Crow+Hatchet works, but Crow+Gem doesn't. That means a crow can kill trees, but NOT see wards. Plus, even if it could see wards, it would have no way of killing the ward.

Tree's ultimate isn't as much of a team fight decider as, say, Tempest's because it doesn't silence. Root lasts -1/0/1 seconds longer, and it's easier to pull off, but Tempest's ultimate is better.

Yeah, good teams don't let you just invis yourself and walk right in to initiate. Especially given how much Arachna and Pestilence are picked, Tree's invisibility loses even more power. Add in wards and dust when pushing and good luck getting more than 2 people without Portal Key.

And the fact that, as a good tree player, you'll use your invis extremely sparingly, so as to warrant that your opponents wont think to buy gems or wards. Also, and notably while playing with the sen players, i've pulled off mad tree ults while not even invis, and helped take out their entire team. I also bet that if HoN ever becomes really competitive, they'll ban crow+hatchet, simply because it changes the game so much, like crow+eye.

Uh, most people are not stupid. If someone can go invis on a team, someone will carry wards + dust, unless you're playing complete newbs. Shredder, you know that Tree isn't good in the competitive meta-game right now, stop trying to disprove that.

Ok, ok, ultimo. That, however, warrants that i think s2 severely nerfed tree, what with the hatchet and the getting rid of living armor. I think if they replaced his gay third with living armor and gave his trees truesight, he'd turn into an actual viable pick again.

pubs rarely buy wards and dust unless they r really good pubs, and even if they do buy them, they usually suck at using them

12-5-22 with demented shaman. i like ultimate + heal combo, very nice, specially with som. i saved so many allies when we were running away with my heal, it was perty funny.

Yeah, that page also says that my most player char is madman, and has no recorded games of me playing magebane.

The stats are only recorded from a certain point onward. It has the games but doesn't include them in your stats if they're before that time.

My alternate account is 9-0 with Hellbringer and 8-0 with Demented Shaman. =D
