I meant, devilesk should buy wards too when he's support, it shouldn't be just you.

devilesk likes farming too much as jeraziah, which is probably one of the least item reliant heroes. Yeah, he needs mana and survivability, but even without that, all he needs to do is activate his ultimate during a team battle, and it's game breaking. :P The charm also works well to help the team. I know you're reading this devilesk! BUY WARDS/CHICKEN! gosh, you guys make me buy the chicken all the time! :P VALK NEEDS MONEYS. ;)

PLayed a pretty good game as wildsoul today, although i doubt i will ever be up to par with ultimo's wildsoul, i did pretty well.

Farmed and didnt see much action early, and our team was pretty even, we had about 4 kills on them.

Then at about 10 minutes i came out to play. I didnt actually get any kills, but basicallt turned the tide of the battles. I could easily tower dive with booboo, and we wound up taking two of their mid towers in one push. I was immobilizing them while my teammates kicked the shit out of them, and chased them down like crazy. They wound up conceding at 15 minutes, just because they were completely crippled and couldnt defend anymore.

Booboo is such a tank.

The sword and the faith

Last game you played with me, which was like forever ago, I was playing support heroes at the time.
No, just Madman and Arachna.

Quote from name:isolatedpurity
And the shit you talk about was when I first started playing (even longer ago), usually being madman, and I would buy no starter items, not even runes or hp pots, which is probably the last time we played a bit. I would also go sustainer first on arachna, it's been awhile since I did that. I've greatly evolved since then. I really want to see if you evolved, because your old play style was "get the kills, fuck everything else", which really doesn't fly when you are playing an int hero. And it is really, really annoying when I say I'm going to go farm a 3x creep wave only for you to tp there while I'm on route and nuke it all, and then turn around and complain how long it takes me to get to carry status, especially when I say 'oh, my lane was pretty brutal, I'm behind'.
First off, I got the kills on my solo, and before I go to nuke any creeps, you could say 'Hey I'm going to get this, everyone else leave it alone.', or just a ping at least. But communication was another weak point then. At the time, most of you were still doing shit builds on carries you didn't understand, so if I didn't try to make a carry Pyro out of masses of gold we were going to lose. We didn't have the 40 minutes you needed to get useful.

Quote from name:isolatedpurity
Our teamwork has improved greatly over the past month. I'm not sure you'll fit in.
Seems better that way then.

Quote from name:isolatedpurity
Devilesk may be an asshole, but he'll jump into a kraken whirlpool with me if I'm pinned down and then use sol to get me to safety. During crunch time, he'll play pretty selfless. I've seen him die in order to keep me and neki from dying. He primarily needs to learn to gank / support a gank. If someone's coming to gank, you don't heal / cleave crush a creep wave, you try to let it push as much as possible. You also don't show your presence if it wasn't already there to begin with until enough people are in position to go. Could also help kow with warding sometimes.
You lost me at 'but'. There is no 'but', there is no more excuses, there is no more devilesk. He's on my ignore and ban list, and he's staying there. If you want to put up with his shit, be my guest.

Quote from name:isolatedpurity
And I find Hydro's disconnections have been far less lately. He's generally a good support hero, seems to suck ass as an int (defiler, pyro ;o) but can rock pretty hard as tort.
FTS, I've never seen him disconnect and I'm not sure what you mean by behavior either.
I've seen them both disconnect and last time dev was giving me a hard time I recall Swarm joining right in.

Do we REALLY need to harbor grudges forever?

Oct 26 2009, 3:29 am Sand Wraith Post #549

she/her

If the grudge costs 275 minerals and 125 vespene gas, it probably should be harboured for a rather long time. Otherwise, no.

--

What is funny is that I hate rage-quitters, sore loser quitters, and leavers for reasons along the lines of the game not being in their favour. I would hardly mind FTS leaving my next 5-10 games if he gave me a heads up, since at least I could get myself into a "screw around" frame of mind.

Anyway, will you play a round with us/me later, Ex?

@Swarm:
I was done with it before Shredder got here, but he and Faz decided they wanted a slice of drama cake too.

Look, i didnt want a slice, i came on and saw all that, and i posted my response, ok. U started it when u said stuff about me, and i was just reconciling it.

On another note: I really want to know what a good wildsoul build is. I looked on the DotA guides to try n get started, bt the item name difference just throws me off too much. I can't go back to the DotA names fast enough. Actually, i never really learned them in the first place and more learned them just by their pictures, but thats besides the point.

So far i've relied heavily on booboo, which is what you're supposed to do for early farming and such, and basically build him based on his bash, due to his high ms and such.

The problem i've begun to have problems with the killing aspect of wildsoul. I know from some experiences that he can kill out the ass from playing with other wildsoul players, and i have a good time ganking with him. I just, however cant seem to get the item build quite right to allow him to tank and deal out the huge dps at the same time.

Help would be appreciated.

For ws, I do: hatchet + shield on bear, runes for ws. Next 500 gold, gloves of swift (bear), boots (both), another gloves (bear), hatchet at L6 (ws) and maybe a shield. Then phase boots for ws. Then basically you could go mock for bear or dps on ws (tclaw, wingbow, shield breaker, etc).

I've seen a ws start with his frenzy skill and not even cast bear until mid game. It seemed mildly effective.

Uh no. *I* would say I'm going to get this, and you would just portal boot your way there shortly after.

To be honest, I don't like the new Wildsoul to say the very least. The nerf on his leash really dulls his effectiveness on using Booboo and the reduced MS on his ultimate is a bit of a turn-off. I'll try him once again, but I don't think I'll have as much fun. What IP said is correct, I usually go for a hatchet + shield on booboo, and maybe a pot on Wildsoul. Just fight the easy creeps and focus fire. If you feel comfortable, you can let Booboo die, take the HP hit and resummon him to full health. I usually go Booboo, Natural Attunement, Booboo, Rabid, Booboo, Natural Attunement, Booboo and then the rest is preference really. I usually do get Enhanced Marchers on Booboo for the unit-walking, regular boots and bracers on Wildsoul and then rush whatever item I want. Hyperstone, Tclaw, mock, etc. Also, make sure to take a ganking opportunity whenever you can. If one of them is low, do not be afraid to come up behind to try to kill them. The worst you could do is make them go back to fountain, which will really help your solo.

Oct 26 2009, 2:04 pm ShredderIV Post #555

Yeah, the leash thing really threw me off, since i'm used to the bear just tping back to you if it gets too far. It's so hard to tell if he's gonna be able to attack the opponent or not in his new state. I also never really go his ult. I know it can effectively add around 1000 to his hp extra with its skills and such, but i'd rather get 4 levels in the other 3 first., making booboo and ws ganking beasts.

Oct 26 2009, 5:53 pm Forsaken Archer Post #556

I hit ultimate at L6/7 and then turn them both to melee for more damage from hatchet, and definitely more hp/armor coming out of the forest to gank. Maybe if it was easier to micro...

None.

Oct 26 2009, 5:56 pm ShredderIV Post #557

Yeah. The last time i played as him i disregarded hatchet, which wasnt such a good idea...

For the micro aspect, i have that pretty much down, all except for the new way the bear's leash works. I have wildsoul hotkeyed at 1, booboo at 2, adn both at 3. It works pretty well imo.

Like the song raccoon, but not the music video... i mean, chicks dont sit around with me when i play HoN or DotA lol.

Oct 26 2009, 9:37 pm Neki Post #560

If they've seen you play HoN, it's understandable. :)

Also, I think an extra level of Rabid or Attunement is better for ganking than True Form, so I usually like ganking so I hold off on True Form until level 10.
