Ninjas, masters in the art of ninjutsu, assassination, intelligence, medicine, sabotage, and stealth, became the reason for fear among many high ranking generals and leaders during war. Often hired for missions during wars, these ninjas will use whatever it takes to complete their mission. However, not all ninjas follow orders thoroughly. Because of that, their own village will often exile them. This is the story of one exiled ninja, which stood out from the rest.
There wasn’t much information about the Ninja regarding his private life, only of his origins and his grandest achievements. The Ninja was believed to have been born and raised in the hidden village of Hinote, which probably gave rise to his dreadful Fireball technique, a technique that leaves a burning memory among those that have lived to tell the tale. The village of Hinote was in a horrible location, being stuck between two warring countries, one of the two, Egypt. Though, this results in Hinote producing powerful ninjas in times of defense and war.
The Ninja, nicknamed Suterusu by his enemies and friends, was one of these ninjas. An expert at gathering intelligence by using his spy sentry, he was always ahead of the game. The Ninja’s skills, however, differs from other ninjas. His shurikens will drain the target of their energies, resulting in a lack of power and movement. The Ninja’s ability to rapidly create seals enables him to quickly string together a series of deadly combos. His bloodline technique, the Shadow Stitch jutsu, became the Ninja’s most fearsome technique against enemies of high caliber. With his arsenal of deadly techniques, and a mix of evasive maneuvers, it is not surprising that the Ninja rose above the rest.
However, like all great warriors of his time, Suterusu has a desire of power. By stealing an ancient scroll from his village that contained a forbidden technique, he became a top criminal who was wanted dead by the village he loved. This setback does not destroy his undying will to protect those caught in war. He resolved to stop this long lasting war, so he planned and executed cunning assassinations of highly ranked generals, destroyed supply lines of both countries, and gave misleading information to leaders. During his various acts of justice a ninja, with skills rivaling those of the Suterusu’s, also defected from Hinote from his cruel acts of violence among enemies and allies the like.
In an attempt to take revenge against all those who refused him, that ninja started summoning, a magical art forbidden among ninjas, the Kyuubi, a nine-tailed fox spirit with powers far greater than other kitsune. Because of the summoner’s ill intent, the Kyuubi took a physical form of a demon whose bent on the destruction of life. Suterusu, having learned of this from his spy sentry, arrived in time of the Kyuubi’s summon. Suterusu then engaged in battle with the summoner and slayed him at the end. However, it was too late, for the Kyuubi demon was fully summoned. Knowing the demon’s strength and resulting destruction, Suterusu pulled out a scroll, the forbidden scroll he had stolen earlier.
The victor of the battle was unknown. When ninjas, who are prepared to fight the Kyubi, from Hinote came upon the spot where the Kyubi and Suterusu fought, the whole area was completely destroyed and there were no signs of any life. The place was completely ravaged with cuts, ranging from 5 centimeters to 14 meters long. None of the ninjas knew what happened, except the Elder. When the Elder saw the scene, a look of sorrow struck his face.
Upon returning, he ordered a statue of a ninja to be built. This statue roughly resembles the Ninja, and at the base of the statue read a plaque, “Here stands a ninja, who was discriminated by the people he loved, but continued to carry on his duties and protect the village and the people of this world. May he be an inspiration to the future generations of Hinote ninjas.”
None.
