There is no way to do that, except by removing the unit and re-creating it with/without the blind condition.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

You cannot create a unit with the blind status directly.
But you can produce blinded vessels with computer medics.... (like tuxlar did in his mechnogears)
