I'm using a shiny mage Koralhaas as my character. I love mages, and this expansion looks epic.I recently got my epic flying mount, and I think that because I won't get to play much this year (at least the early part, senior year in HS), I'll be spending most of my time on hoarding gold and honor and getting vanity pets, hoping for the release date to come early. Can't wait to fly around Azeroth on a flying mount, let alone all the nice new stuff Blizzard's implementing.

Also, I'm pretty good at making shiny GUI's, so if anyone wants to find a certain addon, I might know of it.

Yay. I don't have my current UI, but I'm post my more baddish ones:

Collapsable Box

To show you my epic skill as a mage (despite ma' gears :(), I'll point out that I have 1234qwazxcv, all their alt equivalents and some shift equivalents all keybound. With differing versions of the keybinds for each spec. Even spells like fire ward, which are rarely used, are keybound. I BET YOUR PALADIN DOESNT NEED TO DO THAT.

To improve your UI, I'd make the microbar (character, LFG, etc) show-on-mouseover and remove the bag bar altogether. You can open your bags just by clicking b, and with a mod like bagnon to combine all bags it becomes much nicer. Also, there are several addons (not sure if this is what I do, but bankstack is one) that sort your bags when you type /sort. Very handy. Also, remove the black art, because it really doesn't look as good as nice environment. There's a hotkey that hides your UI (something-z) and brings it back when you use it, so if the environment seems much nicer with it off, you probably have too much stuff on your screen.

The recount and omen, for example. You're obviously not using it right now, why not remove it? And all that space is being wasted, all black and all. Tsk tsk.

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

I don't care to really change my UI yet. I go through phases where I completely delete everything and start over. I like mine the way it is now. It's efficient for what I need.

For keybinds, I move using ESDF and have WAZXCVGTR bound along with NUM1-9. I have 3 buttons on my mouse also bound to certain things. My keybinds are completely different for each spec.

I originally deleted my bag bar and microbar. I kept them up for the hell of it. They really don't take up space when I'm raiding (no screenshots of that, though). I use Baggins for all my bag sorting needs.

The Omen/Recount is always in use on my mains, so I just keep them there. Again, it really isn't that much wasted space considering I have the maxcam distance insanely far back.

And I've done minimalist before...

...but after a while I decided to scrap it all and start fresh. I can't tell you how many times I've redone mine. Eh.

EDIT:
Also, what's you resolution at?

That's not minimalist. Lul. Currently, 1650x1080 (or something like that).

This is my current UI:

Actually, that's my UI to essentially just returning to WoW and quick-updating my addons with MMOUI minion. Macaroon seems broken beyond repair right now, that Objectives thing shouldn't be there, and my quest log is screwed... but, as you see, it's still shmexy. I'm still not sure I'll leave my buffs on top (planning on revamping it again), but they'll do for now.

I pretty much just used the default UI. I never cared for perl or anything like that.

This was my ui back in BC and it didn't really change in wrath.

If you haven't already (supposing you still raid and all), you may want to look into Recount and Omen as replacements for DamageMeter and KTM. I used to use both of those, and just found these to be better for customization and space-saving on my screen.

Yea I know. That picture was taken before either was popular, or maybe even made. I dunno. Omen is godly and I never really bother with DPS meters. I either healed or tanked so it was never an issue to me. I did like recount when I had it for DPSing though. I do like the simplicity of DamageMeter and it became comparable to Recount once it enabled syncing.

My favorite addon was probably SCT. They didn't make an update for Wrath, or at least I never found it, so I was sad.

Also, a more recent one since wrath on an alt. It's really small though.

Yeah I usually tank or heal as well, and usually have Recount up for Total Healing and Heals Per Second (though mostly to check out how I do compared to other healers). One thing I've come to love from Recount that DamageMeters couldn't really give me is the exact numbers of what people cast and how well they hit or heal. Specifically for me, Recount lets me see how other Paladins and Shamans are doing, and what spells they've been casting (so I can see what I should or shouldn't change, I s'pose).

I see everyone has different tastes n likes in way UI is displayed.

I was a feral druid =( guild forced me go boomkin for 3% hit + 3% haste + 5% crit since our shaman always died and I live longer.

I'm pretty sure SCT is upgraded now. http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info3965-ScrollingCombatText.html
Miks Scrolling Battle Text is generally regarded to be superior.

I'm obviously DPSing all the time, so I use the meters to measure my DPS and compare myself to others.

I love using Miks SCT, because tells me when I crit and how much is resisted.

As well the rest of crap, how much I'm hit for and crap.

Does everyone play horde or alliance?

And in new expansion how many ppl will reroll goblins or worgen.

I'll make a worgen in boredom.

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

I have two 80 Horde characters and one 72 Alliance character. I definitely prefer the Horde, but I recently found out that a guild full of old high school pals play Alliance and want me to heal for them, so a new char was in order!

As for Cataclysm, I'll probably make a Worgen, though I wish Worgen were Horde-side because I don't really want to make a second Ally.

I'm a Forsaken mage, and I'll always be one. It's the funnest class/race combination in game, combining extreme mobility, high usefulness, extreme activeness and lots of room for roleplaying.
