Broodling Arena

This is my idea for a new map I was originally going to create, but didn't have time due to random such in my life and me already creating an arena map.

Basically, as the title says, this map is an arena format.
Before you battle, you get a queen to brood. You brood as fast as you can to get the most units to fight. After a timer runs out (brooding time) your units get transported to the arena to fight. But your units are not always broodlings, and the units you brood do not always give 2 units.

For example, at the very beginning of the game, you would spawn larvae to the arena, surrounding a creep colony. The only way to win this is to stay on the creep the longest. The winner (and the losers) get credits depending on what place they rank in the arena. They can use these to buy:

More Base units : units that you brood that spawn more units than 2 (for example, critters : bengallas = 3 units, ursadon = 4, etc.)
Upgrade Base units : at the very beginning you would just start with a rhynadon, which does nothing (spawns 2 units) then you have to brood your own broodlings to make more units
Upgrade Spawns : From larvae (dies on creep) > broodling (time limit) > zergling (no speed / crack) > hydra... etc.
More queens : to brood faster
+ more...

Another idea I originally had was to make "spawn broodlings" cost energy, then you would get an "energy recharge" every couple seconds during the timer. You could also upgrade how often you got your recharge for your queens, and how much energy you got per recharge.

Then you could have different game modes, (how many games to win, etc.) and use switches for a "random game" using all variables. Possibilities are limitless, but this is the base idea that I thought of in the shower one day :P

Back* from the grave

You could also have something like a randomization for how many broodlings you get from a unit. Say you have a unit off in a corner of the map, you brood it, and instead of "oh goody, two more!" eventually turning to a boring "oh great, just two!", you could have a randomization between 0, and, say 7. It wouldn't be that hard to trigger, so I'll get something up and running for you sometime today. I've got nothing better to do.

EDIT: I've got it attached. I haven't tested, but I'm sure it's alright.
EDIT2: I actually clicked the "Attach This" button this time...

Thanks for the feedback, but I don't exactly plan on making this map anytime soon :P, I still have many many things to do.
Just sharing my ideas on SEN, if anyone wants to make this map, please include me in the credits ^^!

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
