Also see Stack Ground Units in One Tile.
Images self-explanatory. Hyper triggers required.

So basically, if you create and remove a powerup on top of a ground unit, another ground unit can stack on it? Nice!

Powerups can be created beneath ground units, which ousts them (these other units).
Once the chaos started, stacked units can be spam-clicked.

Define "ousts", please.

Aug 13 2009, 6:05 pm Wormer Post #5

I'm not a native speaker, so I've probably used the wrong word...
Oust means to drive out or expel (someone) from a position or place.
Synonyms: force out, eject, displace.

I could have sworn that you couldn't create powerups with triggers... meh, maybe that's something else I'm thinking of.

Those are powerups of resources you can't create.

Oh, lol, I thought it was the other way around... ah, I remember now, I was thinking of killing powerups (you can kill resources but not powerups).

Which reminds me, can you create mineral fields (preferably empty; 0 minerals) with triggers?

None.

I guess powerups are killable too, but they return to their initial position when killed.

I guess, yes (test it!).

>be faceless void >mfw I have no face

Cool, this should be really helpful! Sorta like stacked sprites but easier! Mobile gun turrets here I come!

Red classic.

Actually I think this hardly can be useful.

The main reason is in that this has a potential to lag
(lots of units are constantly ordered and hampering each other, meh... :stfu: ).

Also I guess unit's aren't able to attack quite well,
so this could be used only as a kind of units storage or something.

Units will be unstacked (at destination point) immediately as you move them via trigger.

But it is still fun :D

I see this useful for a cutscene with loads of people grouping in panic and getting killed. :D

Unfortunately the units can't attack very well like this, although I'm surprised how many people didn't know about this..

I knew about power ups displacing units, but then I realized that once units are stacked they could be spammed to stack even further, which was fun.

When you look at it in game, it looks kind of like some kind of swarming mass.

It would be cool to move the location around, making the swarming mass look like a walking slime thing! Especially if you use zerglings or somethin.

didn't change the file name, so it will overwrite wormer's. I think it works well - http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=27da2eb3ae6f5d650de4fc1039a01674e04e75f6e8ebb871

Woe, that's seriously not bad. I like how it swarms over buildings too. I think it could make a cool map idea, where one of the bosses or something is a swarming goo that tries to take over buildings slowly, one by one. The effect might even be cooler if the location goes really slow.

Edit: Imagine if you did it with dark templars. That could be awesome!

And yes, gj wormer!
