Which map are you referring to? If it's Land of Arex, I only have an early incomplete version: Land of Arex v0.08

I haven't worked on this for quite some time. Seeing as how I will only have about a month to finish the map, I'll have to get back to work on it. I can't really promise whether it will be finished or not, though. But I'll try.

How is working your spawn trigger?

There are scattered burrowed lurkers around the map. Every so often, when units are to be spawned, one to three lurkers around the hero will be selected, the position for the soon-to-be-created enemies. There is a location containing eight enemy unit-types (these types depend on the area in which you are traveling). For each lurker, one of the eight enemy unit-types is randomly selected and that unit is then created at the position of the lurker.

The more units you or your allies control, the more enemy units that can spawn at maximum.

As I said in the shoutbox, there a few things I need to fix and adjust first. After that, I'll let you do some testing.

:payne:

And do they immediately run to the hero once created? Or they stay there and wait for proximity to attack? Or they are under JunkYard AI?
And do they appear outside of the screen? (I hope) :P

I think they charge the hero soon after spawning. They appear out of screen if you're not looking at your hero at the time of their spawning =p.

Well, the version of the map I played had a bug.. Right after you defeat the shadow on the serene visage.. You have to speak with the marine in the town. I can't for some reason. I even modified your map so the burrowed unit is easier to access with my character, and it still would not work..

I've been waiting around to see you online, or on SEN, but I haven't really seen anything. Just wanted to bump the topic, and let you know that if you've fixed up that part of the map, I'm still rather interested in play testing through the rest ;o

I told Kaias in a pm, I'm not working on this anymore. I'm away for school and I don't have my own computer or a copy of starcraft. Though, I was trying to finish the map before I left, but I was having too many problems with the editor and my crappy computer so I wasn't able to make much progress. Sorry.

Hmm, that really is a piece of bad news.. I had been looking forward for quite a while to the completion of it :C

If you ever get a version that is more workable than the one I received, I would still very much so appreciate it ^.^

Good luck with school, hopefully you'll be able to try my RPG when it reaches completion.

I just finished playing and though I seemed to hit the end I am not completely sure as afterwards I cheated on single player and a lot more of the map seemed designed. The map text didn't seem to go much farther than I went. I went to the mountain and then returned but was not able to find the Mayor or get any of the Town's people to talk to me. I was trapped in the area due to the cave being restricted and crystals blocking the path to the east...unless that lower terrain was supposed to let me past (which it didn't). Anyway overall pretty good terrain, lots of storyline for what is at the moment a short rpg (I basically got an Intro, One Act, and a boss type fight scene that ended up mostly being more info). Cast system seemed to work well, menu was largely incomplete but options were still listed. Hopefully he'll get time to finish this up a bit more. Not sure why Fwop mentioned 4 acts done as it doesn't seem like more than 1.5 are done but then maybe the version released for the contest was an older version since nobody could contact him? Who knows, anyway that's my two cents.
