Summary

The game works by a limited number of rounds, where 2 teams are spawned in an arena. The first team to score 15 rounds wins the game. Players are given a salary based on their hero kills and can use their money to purchase spell, mana and damage upgrades. Leveling up spells, mana and casting spells is all done through dropship systems. Therefore, the player has the choice of what spells to level up in whatever order chosen. The gameplay is constructive and realistic as the spells upgrade in range, duration and decrease in cooldowns as spells are upgraded. The spells shown in the following list shows them at their maximum potential.

Strategy

Each character has 4 unique spells;
1. Travel spell
2. Defensive spell
3. Damage spell
4. Ultimate spell

Change the spell names. You need to learn to be more creative; stop copying DotA names and spells.

How many times are you going to make the same map? The spells are still as uninteresting as the first time around. Can you give us any reason why we should play this map over the existing maps that have all this + more?

if you played my other maps and disliked everything about them, then you probably wont like this map. the reason im making this upgraded version however is because many battlenetters actually liked the ideas and spells. although my other maps failed, i think they all had great potential, which is why my current project shares many of the same ideas. this map is the collective result of everything i learned from the series and im aiming towards a much higher standard of active and constructive gameplay.

here are the ways i aim to achieve this;
- heroes now have 4 spells instead of 3
- spells can be upgraded (total of 20 upgrades) increases range, duration and lowers cooldown
- the gameplay mostly involves fun hero battles instead of killing computer units

how so? i have every type of spell in there!? teleport spells for chasing, some have ministuns, loads of unique defensive spells, different types of summoning spells and some cool disable spells. how could i be any more original?

The reason why they liked the Ideas and spells is because they liked the older maps they came from, lol.
I could list 5 maps which all have the same spells that your map has.

I like your positive outlook on things, and I'm sure some B.netters liked it.

But trust me... your map does not work. You are making way too much Fuss over little itty bitty things in your map, and you always fail to see the big picture...

For example.. your old ones allowed you to heal anywhere on the map as long as your enemies are x distance away from you... That's bull. Because smart players can just run away, heal, and come back at you. This gives a huge advantage to fast/ranged units.. Also, this eliminates the gameplay where one have to decide to go back to the temple to play it safe and heal, or try to get rid of the other player and grind more for experience.

Another example(s) is/are your spell names. They are uninspired at best. They simply state what they do, with no creative thought or theme to it. Kinda like your game title. New Hero Arena? Hero arena is the ULTIMATE arena of UNBALANCED gameplay... And you are doing JUST that!
We All know you weren't trying to do a remake of Hero Arena.. wasn't it called Shuriken or smth like that?...
If it IS gonna be a remake or Hero Arena, then keep the Hero arena elements to it.. people liked the unbalanced gameplay because they get to learn what's OP and use it against noobs and laugh/teabag them... but We all know that's not what you're going for...

Doing the same map over and over again is ridiculous and time consuming. I'd rather you make an entirely new one.. NOT a Hero arena or AoS type of map. Use your talents elsewhere. I bet you'd work best with Strategy maps like Diplo or Risk, where fine details will enhance strategy and thus the Gameplay. This isn't always so with AoS type of games.

i understand what you are saying. im still giving this my last shot however. i think i could really make something out of this. if it fails, it will be my last starcraft map.

as for the healing system, i decided to entirely remove it. this version does not include allied bases or computer support. the aim of the game is for the first team to reach so many hero kills, so its a very different concept.

just give it a chance will ya!

Make the map size smaller. People are going to get bored if they have to spend a few minutes finding their opponent.

its okay. the heroes spawn near the center of the map. also, the fighting arena is about 60% of the map.

Lets hope. I don't see how useful switch would be though. And the terrain...will it be like older versions of hero arena?

How are you planning on doing "Time Travel: Teleports you 15 seconds back in time (cooldown = 11)"?

If you can find a way to do this, that would be very cool. Thought I doubt you will.

You basically have 15 locations that centers on you in a staggered way every 15 seconds ... <.<

I highly doubt this would be any fun considering your previous attempts and the lack of change and considerations to our criticisms... Meaning you didn't give a sh*t about our thoughts XD ...
Not to mention your spell list feels almost the same as before...

*sigh* ... let's hope u're actually doing something well

the switch ability is effective for chasing heroes as you can teleport them near your allies if they try to escape. its deadly if used correctly. however you risk teleporting yourself near enemy heroes.

the terrain is different from the other maps. first off, theres more of it. also i made it more interesting. there are more cliffs and pathways now.

ive already done it. like unholy said. however it does not remember your HP or mana, just your location.

lack of change and considerations to our criticisms

like i said before, it shares many ideas from my other maps because alot of people liked them. however alot has changed. for a start, the map is no longer an AoS map. there are no bases. its 100% hero battles which in my opinion is way more fun. also, i have worked really hard to improve, combo and balance the spells, which can now be upgraded 20 times. improves range, duration and cooldown. there are now various summon spells for extra damage, meaning 4 spells for each hero. ive also developed a nice upgrade system that is very user friendly and a helpful interactive tutorial. i also can show off some nice new ideas, like automatic stim-pack, a cool swap hero spell and more.

i respect and value your thoughts. im not going to let them discourage me from this map though.

i promise you a good map. it really is the ultimate upgrade from my others.
