Well, I got gold when I got to level 6, and I think you get more at some other level. And you get gold for inviting people.

Battle hero? No you wont get it unless your a high rank in the army anyway, Im Lt and it gives 80% extra damage.

As for just buying weapons, do what you want, but you should know you wont get a house or anything very soon if you spend it all on guns.

Purchasing weapons increases damage, and increases the battle exp get.

Market speculation is basically where you use your knowledge of math and watch the monetary market and look for disrepancies between the value of Gold -> Currency and Currency -> Gold.
