I originally started this map months ago, but then my Windows XP got a virus and is now, with SCMdraft, currently out of order. Civilization Legacy inspired this concept (the "strange object" in the Pacific that spawns aliens)

Diplo: Post Apocalypse is based around the human survivors of a currently-going alien invasion. Each player can pick from a large list of surviving forces with unique units (Texan, Russian, Argentinian, Chinese, etc.). Each unit is built as a unit "type" (marine builds gupowder, firebat builds melee, ghost builds tank, etc.). Factories give +1 mineral per second, but you can also mine minerals. In addition, you can build next to beacons, but this attracts alien ships (super powerful, too hard to fight off in early game, might remove that trigger).

Players can "upgrade" units from one to another (templar->hydra->Raynor) by "rediscovering" technology at the top bar. In addition, they can research new units and even nukes.

Human players can also play as the alien invaders, who also choose their starting location (North America, Australia, etc.) and a small base similar to the humans. They can mine, build next to beacons (nothing is finalized), and build Assembly Plants for more minerals. The Alien units are super-powerful but also super-expensive.

I was thinking of implementing a "plague" feature because of the new diseases introduced by the aliens to the humans, and vice versa. Every unit would be set to XX% hp or X number killed every X minutes. Not sure if that's such a good idea, though.

I can't acess scmdraft to zoom out and view the world, but I took a few screenshots in-game. The triggers aren't even 10% done, but some of the basic ones are ready.

Feel free to comment, add, or yell at me.

Texan
Russian
Battle

I'll add complete unit, structure, and tech lists later on.

Win by luck, lose by skill.

I don't like the idea of a plague myself. In the newer Civilization games it has a plague, and it's just annoying...

But this sounds like a pretty interesting (If probably done before) map. I hope you make it worth-while.

He said it's a diplomacy game and just that he got the idea of aliens from Civilization Legacy.

Though actually it was the original Civilization 1.01 that first featured plagues and other natural disasters... and yea they were mostly annoying.

Anyways sounds like a cool Diplo that hasn't been done yet. The re-discovering techs thing reminds me of Warzone 2100. A great game that not many people discovered with a in some ways similar storyline.

Vrael -- It is, and I could definitely use a company with a commitment to flexibility, quality, and customer satisfaction to provide effective solutions to dampness and humidity in my urban environment.

Vrael shouted: Idk, I was looking more for a dehumidifer company which maybe stands out as a beacon of relief amidst damp and unpredictable climates of bustling metropolises. Not sure Amazon qualifies
sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city

Vrael -- Maybe here on the StarEdit Network I could look through the Forums for some Introductions to people who care about the Topics of Dehumidifiers and Carpet Cleaning?
