I call them tilesets for ease of knowing what it is.
If I walked in somewhere and asked: What sort of 3D Modeling Plains are in StarCraft 2, not everyone is going to know what I'm talking about.
But anyone who's played StarCraft, will have had to have seen the word Tileset at one point or another, and know that it means what the map is made out of.
And I understand that it's WarCraft 3 in Space, and WarCraft 3's ability to meld tilesets together.
All I want to know is if there's a way to create the same feel and look that Installation has in StarCraft.
Obviously the basic ones will be there like Badlands, Jungle, Space Platform, etc., but Installation is a special case in StarCraft tilesets.
It's the only tileset that can truly create a dark feeling when you play it. Dead marine bodies everywhere, broken machinery, vents, etc.
And whereas no, we might not have specific tilesets, we'll still have brushes for each of the pieces of terrain.
If you want me to be more technical and not ask about a tileset then:
Will there be Installation brushes?
[Addition to above post]
And actually, that all looks like it's just Space Platform, judging by the patterns on it. Installation is very clean-cut smooth floors and grates.
Hence why I'd like to know if there will be anything able to create those same dark feelings in a StarCraft 2 map.
None.
